There are some people who actually need to undergo Medical Examination, need not be only the above reasons like medial industry etc. One of my friends from IT had to undergo Medical Examination. Its at their discretion.

They verify with the Current Employer. They call the HR , and they send them a formal email with a set of questionare.

Do not worry, if they check your bank account they will verify that on that day did u really have that much money, you can remove some amount of money but make sure you have enough balance left though

Employer was contacted through Board Number and an Email will be sent directly to HR asking for several clarifications,thats what HR told me after a long hesitation.
