Hi Avatar16, I had a similar situation. I didn't know I had to pay some extra tax via self-assessment in 2014, so I paid it late in 2015. HMRC 'fined' me about £150 for the late tax return. My citizenship application was approved this month and I'm now British, so that didn't affect my application. ...
