Renewed passport and ILR application

Do we have to transfer an extended ancestry visa into a renewed SA passport for our ILR application or can we simply present both passports ?

What about if you've completed 4 years on AV, got it extended for an additional 5 years last year (limited leave to remain), and are now facing an ILR application in September ? Could these changes be in effect by then or am I worrying for nothing ? I know it's all speculation at the moment but watc...

Thanks everyone ! Just had a look at the SET(0) forms and guidance notes - GULP ! My hubby's passport also expires in June next year, 2 month's shy of our lovely new five years rule - so we'll have to get his LLR transferred into a new passport - the costs are stacking up ... New passport is around ...

Application successful ! I also confirmed whilst I was there that a Certified copy from an issuing office is perfectly acceptable ! The whole experience was very good - extremely polite staff and very efficient. Appointment was 10am but they let us in at 9:30, airport style check, through the initia...

We're booked in ! 3 August and ... my aunt found my Gran's original BC and has sent it via Fedex so ... looks like it'll be ok after all (if it arrives on Monday). Pity about the JR ... I was hoping we wouldn't have to take a £600 hit on the bank account ! Ouch ! :x

Thanks to everyone who responded especially Siggi - you've put my mind at rest. I've been up and down the internet and all you can get is a Certified copy which is what I have from the General Register Office. I'll try again in the morning and see if I get a more "logical" answer. I was am...

I double-checked the title of the certificate and it's a "Certified Copy of an Entry of Birth" issued by the General Register Office, England. Perhaps I should pursue getting a Certified Copy of a Birth Certificate although the above-mentioned certificate was sufficient when I initially ap...

Thanks Siggi ! That's great news. I thought it strange that she refused me. I hope the JR hearing is successful - £500 is a lot of money !

Ancestry Visa Extension

Hi all, I'm on the old 4 year Ancestry Visa which expires 13 September. My husband is a dependent on the visa.
