Me and my wife are in a similar position.

We are flying to Barcelona on 24th Feb earliest visa appointment we got was 11th Feb. I am UK citizen she is Chinese National on 2 year UK residency visa.

Anyone got any experience of how long it takes the spanish to issue a visa after the appointment?

Hey,

Just in case anyone comes across this post, we got our COA today!! Only applied two weeks and 4 days ago, not too bad at all!!!

So seems like despite recent judgements if your case is straightforward, (she is on two year student visa) that your decision time should be relatively quick!
