I am applying for UK Driving License (I am on ICT t2 visa). Is there a mandate to buy insurance even if I dont plan to buy a car but only to rent out once in a while.

Yes I used the same link as you mentioned.
When I made 2nd complaint that I have not got the BRP, they themselves escalated (mentioned in their reply email) to the concerned department stating that the 15days stipulated time has elapsed.

Finally received the BRP.. Bio metrics given - 18 Oct 18 Application Approved Letter - 07 Dec 18 Date of BRP received for Main Applicant - 10 Dec 18 Date of 1st complaint raised - 21 Dec 18 Response received(15 more days wait) - 02 Jan 19 Date of 2nd Complaint - 21 Jan 19 Escalation done - 24 Jan 19...

this is so frustrating. gave Biometric on 18th Oct and still waiting for the BRP. On contacting BRP team we get same reply every time.

Thanks Guys for the post and replies. I am in the same situation. Received mine but awaiting Spouse BRP.
Also I have a Q - Can I collect dependent's BRP?
