Tkhan - well youre lucky that they called your husband in for an interview to ask about missing papers. They didnt even ask my husband to come for an interview and we had missing papers too. They refused it without even asking for additional documents. So until my husband gets his visa and hes here ...

After 30th May, you will have to wait 3 weeks to get the decision. I would consider getting an immigration lawyer to represent you. Seriously, though if you can just re-apply - dont go down this appeal route - its really bad. I havent seen my husband for a whole year, and his appeal case was refused...

OK....yes, review's are mandatory, but do they carry them out? NO. I have evidence stating the fact that my husband's case was not reviewed until I actually lodged a complaint on the UKVisa's webpage, and the ECM himself (Peter Winters, in Islamabad) replied to me the following day stating that the ...

Awais, I too was naieve like you, thinking that it wouldnt take long appealing in the UK and that there were only minor issues they would deal with straightaway. You have to imagine, every other person thinks like you, and so how many appeals do you think they deal with in a day? They will not deal ...

I dont know about other countries, but in Islamabad, Pakistan they do not review appeal documents. It is just complete nonsense - I know this from personal experience. I was waiting for our documents to be "reviewed" for 7 months, and i got a hearing date instead. So don't get caught up in...

Applying for settlement visa without wage slips??

Ive recently started working and want to apply for my husband's visa again which was refused last year. The problem is that at the moment my contract is only lasting up until july 31st, and then there is a chance it may turn into a permanent position - could I apply for his visa, by submitting the c...

My husbands visa was refused in august last year, and we got the appeal date in March this year - personally, if you're working and can afford it, then I would reapply now. Honestly, its not worth the hassle waiting and waiting, you just become bitter and end up hating everything and everyone. I cou...

smooth operator - i would think not. My sis-in-law had an MA, and she forwarded her certificates to show that she was educated and knew English when she applied for ILR, and they accepted this and she didnt have to do any kind of test. This was in 2005, so I dont know if things have changed since th...

khan85 - youre absolutely right, its a lifetime committment, not a game. I dont understand why these people get their kids married off in the first place, and then stop them from living a happy life. 3rd party sponsorship for settlement visa

I know they stopped allowing this, but i know someone who applied for spouse visa in May and got a family member to sponsor her husband, but their case got rejected but NOT on the grounds that it was a 3rd party sponsorship. When this case goes to hearing will the judge be in favour of a visa or not?
