Extra days added FLR (M)

Hello,

We have just successfully applied for my wife's FLR (M), but instead of giving her 30 months from the date of application (May 17 2023 until 17 November 2025), they have granted permission until 23rd January 2026.

Should I be concerned about this?

Thanks!

Is there a submit button on UKVCAS?

I've uploaded all of the documents but have now been locked out of my account. That's fine, unless I actually had to _submit_ the documents somehow rather than just upload them...

Is it fine to go to the biometric appointment with them _just_ uploaded?

Re: FLR (M), do you need foreign passports for British children?

A quick question - is there any reason to include copies of the Colombian passports of my two children in my wife's FLR (M) application, or will just the British ones to prove their citizenship be sufficient? No, only their British passports. For children, should I scan the whole passport or just b...

Re: FLR (M) requirements and date of application

Yes you can, however to ensure you don't have a shortfall by the time due to apply SET (M) you may give it a couple more weeks. When do you intend to apply? I was planning to apply in a week or two. Perhaps 20th May. That would hopefully get us over the five year line by expiry if FLR(M) is 30 mont...

FLR (M) requirements and date of application

Hello, My wife entered the UK on 5th November 2020, meaning 30 months have now passed (visa granted on 1 November 2020). Her spouse visa is due to expire on 1 August 2023, but can we apply for FLR (M) now? Are there any disadvantages of doing it now if we have the documents ready? Also, if we are no...

Requirements for citizenship after ILR (Family)

As the spouse of a British citizen, the requirements for naturalisation are:

- ILR
- B1 English Test
- Life in the UK
- Two referees
- Passport showing you've spent enough time in UK to qualify

- What else is there? Do you need to meet a financial requirement or anything else?

Thanks!

Bank account maturing (savings requirement)

Hello, I have £70,000 in savings in my Nationwide FlexOne account, however, as I will be 23 in February, my account will at that point "mature" into a FlexAccount, which is a slightly different account. The sort code and account number will stay the same. Will this "switch" of ba...

Cohabitation Document Spacing for FLR (M)

Hello everyone, I have a question about the spacing of cohabitation documents for our FLR(M) visa. Does this spacing look ok? 5th July 2021 21st November 2021 7th March 2022 28th July 2022 November 5th 2022 March 7th 2023 It's just an example, what I'm trying to grasp is whether the gap between 5th ...

Hello, I wanted to check whether we qualify for 30 hours free childcare (from 3 years) if: - I am a British citizen - My wife has NRPF (she is on a spouse visa) I haven't found any clear answers to this question, and would be very concerned if there's any risk of messing up my wife's future visa app...

Does this FLR (M) -> SET (M) timeline look correct?

If my wife arrived in the UK on 5th November 2020 on the 5-year spouse route, can we apply for:

- FLR(M) on 28 days before Friday, 5 May 2023? i.e. 28 days before 30 months
- SET(M) on 28 days before Wednesday, 5 November 2025? i.e. 28 days before 60 months?

FLR (M) evidence of council tax costs for the accommodation in the UK where you live

Hello there, I have read that on the document checklist for FLR (M) you need to provide: "evidence of council tax costs for the accommodation in the UK where you live" Is this correct, or am I getting confused? Perhaps this only applies to ILR? If this is required for FLR (M) how is it pro...

FLR (M) Bank Statements

If I have three joint bank accounts with three different banks in the UK, is this technically sufficient to meet the cohabitation document requirements if we collect all of the monthly statements from these?

Documents required for spouse visa extension

Hello,

I have read that for the spouse visa extension it is required to include letters at the same address for applicant and sponsor.

What documents are required?
Where can I find more information about the types of letter which are acceptable?

Thanks,
Ben

How long will application take?

Spouse visa submitted on September 8th 2020 in Colombia.
I think it will be a straightforward application.

Any ideas how long it will take to get a decision? 1-2 months?

Will I receive an acknowledgement of any kind once they start processing it?

Re: Translation after application date

I get the impression restrictions like these to do with the application date are mostly linked to financial documents?

Is that correct?

Translation after application date

Does it matter if I have a translation which is dated after the date I submitted the online Family of A Settled Person application?

The original document is dated before, just that the translation is after.

Signature has changed!

My signatures on my daughter's birth certificate and my sponsor letter (versus the one on my passport) look different. I did the passport signature when I was 17 and since then my signature has evolved!

Does this matter?

Retroactive priority?

Can you get the priority or super priority service after you've submitted everything and done biometrics? Or does it have to be done at the start of the process?
