That is the brp expiry date, all brps expire on that date. What was the duration of her visa granted and expiry date stayed in her approval letter? I see someone else applied for his wife's dependent visa on 18th April and got a decision yesterday on 10th May. WOW! I would suggest the medium of instruction letter should come from the same awarding body whose name is printed on your final/degree certificate.

I can confirm that both General and Academic are acceptable however ensure to book IELTS for UKVI. I have submitted IELTS for UKVI (Academic) with a valid score for my knowledge of English, and have received entry clearance.
