Re: Confusion over marriage visitor visa

Thanks Seagul, but she wants to marry here as has no family in Argentina and she is very close to my family. I guess if the UK marriage visa is refused we do have that option :D

Re: Confusion over marriage visitor visa

But I appreciate a spousal visa is more expensive! So I think date of travel/visa valid from 01 December will be acceptable.

Re: Confusion over marriage visitor visa

Thanks Char. She put 01 December as intended date of travel. She will return to Argentina after we are married as she has a job there. I will rejoin her once I have saved enough for a visit. It wasn’t a cheaper option either.....with the VFS charges the cost was over $400. Appreciate your help.

Confusion over marriage visitor visa

Hi all My Argentinian Fiancée has applied for a UK marriage visitor visa online via the Gov.UK website in August. The appointment at VFS to provide biometrics and documentation is not until end of September. The rules state you can’t travel any sooner than three months after you apply. In this case,...

Re: Reentry on leave on entry stamp

Just in case this question comes up again. I phoned the Border Force who advised me the re-entry would be treated as another application to enter and the previous leave on entry stamp would not count. They said that at border control they would ask the same questions as when my gf arrived such as pu...

Re: Work permitted on a spouse visa

Hi, my company (large Bank) issue permanent contracts to those on visas. The contract does state that they have the right to terminate the employment if the right to work in the UK is withdrawn so they are protected that way. I guess it depends on what the contract says that your wife has been issue...

Re: Reentry on leave on entry stamp

Hi, yes she advised she was staying with me for 6 months for purposes of tourism. She has funds and I also provided a letter of invitation. She is still leaving the UK at the end of July to return to Argentina, but the short break in Barcelona is a birthday gift from me. Thanks

Reentry on leave on entry stamp

Hi all, I am a UK passport holder and my Argentinian girlfriend is in the UK on a 6 month leave of entry stamp until the end of July. I want to take her to Barcelona for a 5 day trip at the end of June. When we return, will she still be ok to continue her stay in the UK until the end of July? Thanks

Re: Inviting girlfriend to visit

How did your girlfriend get on at Immigration? My son is in the same situation with his Argentinian gf coming over with him to visit!
