I think you don't need your pre settled letter tho.
Not the letter per se, but the UAN and relevant dates yes as it is an immigration application.
Yes correct the UAN and dates are needed, agreed.

Hi seekingadvice87 and MuhammadM86, Thank you for both of your opinion. I understand I should wait for 2 more years to apply settled status, thank you both for your explanation. Re: Refugee + EU settled scheme

Yes, sadly in your case the first 3 years while awaiting for your status approval, aren’t counted as contributions stay. You would have to wait until you complete 5 years. It’s completely your choice on how you want to proceed going forward, either wait until Sep 2025 and apply for SS or until Dec 2...

Re: Citizenship after over staying, 5 or 10 year rule?

Very interesting that there are some successful cases. We had always aimed for 10 years so in no real hurry but things usually never get easier or cheaper so better to apply as son as you can. Will see if I can find a few cases to study. Thank you I just thought I'd come back and give my experience...

Not sure why you didn’t get one, I thought everyone does. If you don’t just say that you don’t have one.

Maybe more experienced members will shed some light.

Yes yours SS does count and you need to include the dates of your application.

Didn’t you receive BRP after you have been granted the SS?

My mom recently naturalised as a British citizen, via her Iranian passport, and also has a US passport. When she naturalised as a US citizen previously, she changed her name to her informal name as well as her husband's (my dad) last name. In short, the names on her Iranian passport and British Cer...

Hi moderator, can you delete my previous post. Thank you
Go ahead and apply, you have got nothing to lose but to gain. You may need to consult with an immigration solicitors. Also a proper covering letter explaining the good reasons behind why you didn't apply within the allowed time frame.

Some thoughts.
Go ahead and apply for the SS now and put enough reasons on why you didn't apply within the allowed time frame. Proper covering letter, you may want to consult with an immigration solicitors. There must be a way round it, they aren't going to kick you out of the country for sure.

Re: Citizenships after settled status

She should receive a new BRP for settled status I believe. You won't get a new one under the new rules. Her status can be verified online. Anyway all BRP's are expiring on Dec 2024 as well as the HO is moving to digital. Same happened with me when I moved from pre settled to settled. I had to apply...
