When I search the forum, there is a lot of information but it is all scattered around. If there is I would appreciate sharing it, if not maybe I will get on the journey of p...

Re: British Citizenship - documents

Have you actually booked the chargeable scanning service? You can upload free yourself on your account. Not aware of them accepting files on a memo stick - organisations would/should be very wary of connecting external devices to their system (in my working life I have refused such requests....). T...

Re: Naturalisation timeline worries (Update)

Nothing yet from Jul-23, many applicants from July are still waiting for a decision. Don't understand why only July but have to wait as they are not responding on the emails. Are you submitting a complaint? Not yet, waiting some more time and then go through proper channel i.e., involve MP first an...

Application Question

Hi

Presumably HO fees for BC includes the ceremony fee, is that right?
If so, when an application is refused, is there a refund for the ceremony fee?
I am not sure about the above hence my question, I am presuming that the question is no.
Thanks in advance happy people.

MMST Workflow email

Received this email today as I approach 6 months next week from my bio metrics appointment, I presume this is a standard template email. We aim to process all applications within 6 months from the date submitted. However, in certain circumstances this target is not possible. Following our assessment...

Re: Return passport with paper ILR after citizenship ceremony?

I agree regarding vignette with the above. Your passport, is it issued by home office? Did you have a travel document due to being refugee? If not then you don’t need to send your passport. I'm sure you can see that the OP's flag is American. Not sure you'd find many American refugees. In the early...

Re: Driving offence or criminal conviction?

Doesn't matter if it is not a criminal offence - fixed penalty notices and out of court disposals must be disclosed as part of the godo character requirement. Repeat driving offences can indicate a pattern of disregard for the law (especially in the 12 months leading to the application). Agreed tot...

Re: Driving offence or criminal conviction?

One question, does it mean if the HO don’t hold your initial complaint then you can’t escalate to IEC?
