Re: Naturalisation timeline worries (Update)

I had my SAR done and nothing was on it, don't keep your hopes high to uncover something that you didn't know tho! So SAR didn’t show any details regarding where your application got stocked in the process? Nothing at all, there is only 2 notes regarding the application, one I couldn't understand a...

Re: Naturalization approval emails

Ultimately from what we see as a repeating pattern, seems like Monday from 8am up to 5pm. As said above, someone had it on Tuesday and also was reported last week on Sunday at 9pm I think. Although we have some feedback from the timeline, yet we can't generalise as the amount of approvals are way mo...

Re: 12 months with ILR

12 months from the date of your IRL approval.

You can apply and go away but you must do your biometric before you go.

In my opinion, it is only a month, better to do it when you are back.

Correct, paid via PAYE then you are an employee. I am an accountant so certainly sure of this :D

And years that you weren’t on PAYE, you must have had dividends? If not then surely you got income from the business, how were you paying your taxes?

Re: Liquidation after ILR

I trust you mean that you will be applying to Naturalisation right? If so, a business is an entity in it self, if it went into liquidation this doesn't affect your personal records even if you are a director in my views.

I would recommend that you do the name change after becoming a British citizen.

Re: Further enquiries raised during a naturalisation application - does the 6 month timeline reset?

Agreed with all comments above. I have applied and submitted my Bio on the 10th of August 2023 and I haven’t heard anything yet. You just need to forget about it and focus elsewhere. Ps, I have criminal records tho. I did request SAR and it came last week with only 3 notes relating for the applicati...

Re: Calculating the 6 months period

Thanks both and agreed, there isn't much difference to be fair. On another note, from your experience, does most applicant get an email to explain that a decision wont be reached in 6 months? or this may not even happen? Most applicants AFAIK are contacted if the application will not be decided wit...

Calculating the 6 months period

Dear experts

Is the 6 months period that the HO aim to give a decision on naturalisation counted in weeks or months?

i.e. if applied on the 10th of August 2023, does the 6 months end on the 10th of Feb 2024 or on the 25th of Jan 2024?

SAR with the police will show the records that the police hold on their computer against your name. This has nothing to do with immigration SAR
