Re: Tier 2 General switch from Tier 4 expiry date problem

Yeah, someone else made the suggestion to me to submit my Tier 2 app without sponsor info and attach a cover letter explaining the situation but I couldn't figure out how to do that. the online application wouldn't let me go forward without entering the sponsorship number.

Re: Tier 2 General switch from Tier 4 expiry date problem

Hi, Sorry no advice but just a question - I'm in a similar situation (my company's going through the license process but it may not come in before my tier 4 expires) -- how were you able to send the application through without a CoS? And attach a cover letter as well? The online application wouldn't...

Re: Tier 4 to Tier 2 transition -- advice/info needed

Thank you! I do understand that my role is inconsequential right now. I should've been more clear, my question was rooted more in trying to understand what kind of evidence can the business/employer provide that would be effective/compelling in demonstrating a negative effect were I to leave. If any...

Re: Tier 4 to Tier 2 transition -- advice/info needed

Just an update for anyone who is still interested -- we emailed the licensing dept, asking if we could either expedite/or be given advice on what to do since my visa is expiring (attached the BRP for proof) and this is the response we were given: For the licensing unit to consider expediting the lic...

Re: Tier 4 to Tier 2 transition -- advice/info needed

Yeah that was my assumption when I saw the date of the thread. My student visa application allowed me to jump around different sections, even though I wasn't allowed to submit until it was completed, but this one seems to be quite rigid. So nothing else I can do except wait, wait and wait! :|

Re: Tier 4 to Tier 2 transition -- advice/info needed

Thank you for the advice -- it's definitely a last-ditch scenario. We're thinking of emailing the licensing unit (again) today with proof of my visa expiry date to plead/beg and ask if there is any possible way to get even an idea of when we can expect a decision to come through. I came across this ...

Re: Tier 4 to Tier 2 transition -- advice/info needed

Hi , See my comment below regarding your questions: >> 1. Even if I was somehow eligible for FLR (Further Leave to Remain), which I don't think I am, does that negate the Tier 4 visa incentives then? A large part of why my employer is only enthusiastic to do it is because of the exemption from RLMT...

Re: Tier 4 to Tier 2 transition -- advice/info needed

Thanks so much for the follow-up! A bit disheartened by the thought of starting the job hunt again, but I also don't want to move AGAIN so it's a catch-22. I definitely appreciate the advice -- especially re: grace period as that will really help get everything in order. I'm mentally prepared to lea...

Re: Tier 4 to Tier 2 transition -- advice/info needed

Hi! Thanks so much for the follow-up info, this is helpful...especially that your employer was able to get the license relatively soon. Honestly, I don't think at this point, I'd find another employer to sponsor me with the expiry date so close, unfortunately (I'm charming/qualified, but not that mu...

Tier 4 to Tier 2 transition -- advice/info needed

Hi, A bit of a long post so please bear with me... TL;DR - I'm currently on a tier 4 student visa, my employer is trying to sponsor me for a tier 2 but is still waiting for sponsorship license approval. Is there anything we can do? So I'm an American currently on a Tier 4 student visa, expiring Jan ...
