Re: REJECTED FM: DID THE HO MAKE A MISTAKE? APPEAL FOR REFUND?

Hi,

So as an EU citizen on a Skilled Worker visa issued in 2021 - its all online. We supplied a screenshot of it and a share-code they have (so gov workers can view the visa).

If he was admitted as a visitor using the egates, it usually will cancel the work visa.

Would have probably been prudent to stand in line to get stamped in by the IO.
His visa is still active - we can see it online when he logs in to check it.

Re: REJECTED FM: DID THE HO MAKE A MISTAKE? APPEAL FOR REFUND?

Do you also think we should apply for administrative review? Rather than appeal? It says we can appeal but no mention of administrative review - however I think it was more an administrative error?

Re: REJECTED FM: DID THE HO MAKE A MISTAKE? APPEAL FOR REFUND?

It says he arrived in the UK as a visitor in March 2022 (he went for work and came back to the UK on that date - but still on his work visa). Was he stamped in as a visitor?? Nope! E-gates - I am wondering whether they have not updated the e-gates yet and as he is from the EU they just let him in. ...

Re: REJECTED FM: DID THE HO MAKE A MISTAKE? APPEAL FOR REFUND?

Should we first contact our MP? Or appeal straightaway? I am flabbergasted how they can approve the finance side of things and see letters of employment saying he is working here full-time yet think he is on a visitor visa??

REJECTED FM: DID THE HO MAKE A MISTAKE? APPEAL FOR REFUND?

Hi all, I am a British Citizen married to a European for 3 years now. He came to the UK last year in Feb 2021 on a work permit and its still going. We wanted to convert it to a spouse visa to give him more flexibility for work so his job isnt the only thing keeping him here. We applied by ourselves ...

Re: Citizenship Ceremony cancelled due to Covid-19

Update! Westminster Council: Applied 16 Sep - Approved 20 Nov - Invitation letter 13 Feb - Ceremony 16 Feb. One thing worth doing is emailing Westminster about ceremony booking even before you get your letter - it took them 2 weeks to respond with the link to book a virtual ceremony (free, £10 to se...

EU spouse joining naturalised British citizen

Hi everyone, Apologies I searched using generic keywords and the list was long without a direct answer! I got married to my EU spouse (who has lived in the 5 years in UK as a student) in the UK whilst I was on ILR in 2019 in the UK. He has since taken up work in the EU and we are long distance. He i...

All applicants 12th - 18th Sep should keep checking their systems. They will be getting access very soon! Access has been granted for me already (14/09 application date). I've just booked a free appointment on 05/10 in Croydon. (Victoria was showing £440 prices  ) did you get an email at all...

Sorry I don’t have access yet. Am I right in thinking people usually get the invite to book one week after they’ve signed up? It looks like it?

Re: **** COVID19 Biometrics appointments and UKVCAS ***** (Discuss here ONLY)

Just DM'd UKVCAS on twitter and they said that they're holding us (post-12 sep applicants) off because there are no appointments available anyway - so they're processing the backlog. Is this true? Any appointments still available? They've given some really unreliable responses tbh :(

Re: Will I get penalised for missing document?

Cullinan I appreciate all your help! I am hoping that their own immigration records can back this up! (given I have submitted my old passport number and brp card from the time!). There is no proof because I physically do not have it! I will take on your advice and upload a cover letter and send an e...

Re: Will I get penalised for missing document?

Thank you! My passport was actually kept by the embassy when I renewed it - I disclosed this in my ILR. For the university - do I need a new letter dated recently? I have letters from 2015 saying I was a full-time student at the time. Also - they have my BRP and the scan of the first page of the mis...

Re: Will I get penalised for missing document?

I should mention this means that they dont know if I was actually in the country on the day I applied (15 Sep).

I dont have that passport with me anymore - in this case what can I do? will my brp suffice? (ignore the mild panic)

Will I get penalised for missing document?

Apologies if this has been posted before - the search terms I used were too generic and produced 100s of pages of non-relevant results. I have submitted my application for BC after LR-ILR + 1 year. I have uploaded all the relevant documents required but realised my passport only started in Nov 2015...
