Hey, No the issue is that I had applied for a green card and was declined on the basis that it is apparently not possible to cancel any work authorisation (including working holiday ones) and that someone has to wait until the expiry of such an authorisation before any application for a work permit ...

I'm from New Zealand on a working holiday authorisation, which is the same stamp as a work permit.
