I am therefore uploading letter from my University stating my course and length, P60 and payslips from employer (after my education) and also including annual bank ...

Re: EU citizen with Settled Status to apply next year - Docs check

You don’t need to send that much stuff. I am assuming you want to proof residency. You need to send documents covering the last 5 years. I sent p60s for the last 5 years and my latest payslip as the last p60 wasn’t out yet. Alternatively you can send council tax bills. They do not want or accept ban...

If you apply online then you need to give the name and email of ONE referee who needs to be a professional and British P...

Re: Travel While Waiting For British Passport Application

Just bear in mind, that if you do the online application they will not allow you to post the documents until your referee has completed the reference online. If you plan to send things on the day of the ceremony make sure you have a referee lined up with access to the internet who can do the referen...

Re: Naturalisation which is faster online or postal

Look at the timeline threads yourself to get a true picture.

You will see that most people who did an online application in February waited to 2-3 months for the decision.

yes, landing and return day are not counted ie if you go away for 1 night it doesn't count at all.

I think anytime spend outside the United Kingdom counts.

Re: Citizenship, Settled Status, need some ideas!

You can apparently do a subject access request to get some of this information but apparently they are incomplete and it is unlikely to list the dates when you left as your passport isn't usually scanned when you leave on a plane. I just went through my emails for the last few years, it look several...

Re: First British Passport after Naturalisation

The passport application is really straight forward especially compared to the actual naturalisation application.
In my opinion there is no real value in check and send and you can just complete it all online and mail with documents by recorded delivery and safe about 10 pounds.

Re: Citizenship, Settled Status, need some ideas!

Yes you can get the PR backdates to the earliest date, however as you say the minimal difference is unlikely to make it worth it (especially as it requires a lot for paper work). In terms of absence, you can have no more than: 90 days outside the UK in the 12 months prior to submitting their applica...

Re: MN1 form - second reference

The referee needs to be a "professional" and know your daughter, they do not need to be involved in their professional capacity. A family friend who is a lawyer/doctor/any other registered profession will do.

Re: Travelling on travel document whilst awaiting naturlization

There are some timeline threads on the forum. Times vary widely, however the home office says they will let you know within 8 weeks if it will take them longer than that and most people appear to have a decision within 8 weeks or a little more. Even if they ask you for documents you are unlikely to ...

Re: First ever British Passport Online Application Process

if you apply fully online then no signature of anyone is needed. your referee does everything online too, same as you.
You can also print things out and send them off or have them checked at the post office which is more expensive and then you need a signature.

Re: First ever British Passport Online Application Process

The above is not entirely correct anymore. If you apply online there is no need to print anything.

You upload a photo directly and your referee gets an email to verify.

Once they have done it, the system gives you the address to send your documents (naturalisation certificate and passport) to.

Re: Naturalisation application and NIP declaration

Mention it as it will be on your records by the time your application is considered.
It will not count against you, so you have nothing to loose by declaring it but if it is on you record and investigated and they then find our knew about it at the time of application you may be disadvantaged.

its not explicitly on the list. Mainly the professional referee needs to be registered with/accountable to some external body. If he/she is a chartered software engineer then it should be fine.

Re: citizenship ceremony invitation and local council booking

You have 90 days to attend the ceremony (usual wait depends on the council) so there is no real rush to get this sorted. I am sure they will get back to you soon. If it is over the 90 days and their fault again they will rectify things.

Re: Interview - First Adult Passport after Naturalization

There is not a single mention of someone going for an interview in the passport timelines thread going back to January as far as I remember so I suspect the Home Office has improved their process and it is unlikely anyone is interviewed now.
