Re: Question regarding resetting timeline

Got it. 540 days in 10 or 180 in 1 year for the long residence and I guess unlimited for the SET M. I guess you do have to take in consideration that anything can change in a few years. Thanks again!

Re: Question regarding resetting timeline

Thanks for the prompt reply.
I’m thinking despite being in good employment/financial standing the current best route for ILR for AB is the 10 year UK resident route (with extensions until that time either in the FP or M category).

Question regarding resetting timeline

AB married to UK citizen came to the UK with FLR M spouse visa. After 2.5 years at the time of extension, inadvertently applied for ILR which got rejected. Appeal under Article 8 granted FLR FP visa. Now nearing 2.5 years on the FP and due for extension: 1. Apply for extension under FLR M, not FLR F...

Re: ILR for Spouse Visa 5 year Route but 17 months wasted on Extension Visa Refusal Appeal

I think the attached HO letter mentions it was granted under EHCR article 8, hence my question about resetting the clock.

Re: FLR (FP) to FLR (M)

Hi graceofgod1, Good to know no issues from switching FLR FP to FLR M. Spouse visa previously, applied ILR ahead of time, rejected, appealed, granted FLR FP for 10 year route. So now thinking about switching to FLR M to expedite the ILR application instead of waiting again for 10 years. Quick questi...

Re: ILR for Spouse Visa 5 year Route but 17 months wasted on Extension Visa Refusal Appeal

Any update? Did the extended FLR M (after appeal) reset the clock to an additional 5 years or were you able to apply for ILR with the time spent before and during the appeal?

Re: Article 8 appeal

Any input on the last 2 questions? I saw some posts from the past regarding switching from FLR (FP) to FLR (M) but am worried regarding the clock resetting even if the spousal visa extension is granted: the 1 year in appeal time which were all submitted on time, and the brief FLR (FP) visa before th...

Re: Application switching from 10 year partner route to 5 year partner route labeled as " exceptionally complex"

Any updates on this? Just to clarify you switched from 2 months of getting FLR (FP) to FLR (M)?
Thanks!

Re: Article 8 appeal

Just to clarify it a bit: 1. If you get the FLR (FP) with the 10 year route, can you still go ahead an apply for the FLR (M) spousal visa extension (to minimize the 10 year to the 5 year route)? 2. If you successfully get the FLR (M) spousal visa extension will the previous visa period count (2015 t...

Re: Article 8 appeal

Thank you for your response. Now that I read more into it, I think it might be the FLR(FP) too under article 8. While reading the attached link I also came across this: "An applicant granted leave to remain under the 10-year partner, parent or private life routes may be able to qualify for sett...

Article 8 appeal

Alex is a British citizen who married a nonEU citizen Bianca who came to the UK in 2015 on a spouse visa. When her visa was close to expiring in Feb 2018 she received a letter from the home office indicating that she is eligible to apply for ILR. Apparently her friend who was on a similar boat had g...
