Re: Impact of Russia-Ukraine situation

My wife's visa expires next month, and we won't have a response to her application by the time it expires. It doesn't matter if her visa expires. As long as an application is submitted and paid for BEFORE the visa expiry date, her visa conditions continue until UKVI make a decision. If the UK were ...

Re: Impact of Russia-Ukraine situation

Thanks! On a very much related note - the application we’re working on is a standard one, with a Biometric appointment booked in for a few week’s time. Given the current situation, we’d be keen to have the new BRP in my wife’s hands asap. Is there anyway we can switch to a super priority service, e...

Impact of Russia-Ukraine situation

Hi there, My wife is from Russia, and is in the UK on an FLR(M) visa, which expires next month. We’re currently applying for the extension, but obviously are very concerned about the current situation. I wondered what peoples’ thoughts are on the likelihood of us encountering issues? Or whether a vi...

Copy of tenancy agreement for FLR(M)

Hi there, My wife and I are in the process of submitting her FLR(M) application. We have original copies of all of our documents - with the exception of the tenancy agreement for our rented accommodation. The company that acts as landlord and manages the property needs to retain the original themsel...

Re: Company rebrand

Hi there, As discussed earlier on in this thread, my soon-to-be-wife and I will be applying to switch a fiance visa into a spouse visa next month. I've been employed by the same company for the past year and a half, but in the past month or so they've "rebranded". The name on the branding...

Fiance name not on tenancy agreement

Hi there, My fiance (who is currently here on the six-month finance visa) and I are currently looking into the documents we will need to provide when applying for the marriage visa after our wedding later this year. I noticed that it says we need to provide a tenancy agreement with both our names on...

Re: Visa granted - next steps?

Hi all, My fiancé has arrived on the six month spouse marriage visa. Does she need to register with the police? The online guidance is quite unclear. The letter that come along with BRP card must state this requirement and if it hasn't been mentioned on it then maybe she not need to register with p...

Re: Visa granted - next steps?

When you will switch into the first stage of spouse visa from fiancee visa then you won't need the 2 years of proofs of cohabitation but will need almost the same documents as were attached with fiancee visa. However, after 2.5 years when you will extend the spouse visa then you will need to attach...

FLR M extension - proof of address

Hi there, As stated above, my fiance is due to move to the UK on a fiance visa next month. Once we are married, we will then be applying for the 2.5 year extension. On the extension application, would she need to proof that she is living with me at my flat? And would the way to do this to be to prov...

Re: Visa granted - next steps?

Also, am I right in thinking that my fiance will need a TB certificate and notarised copies of my passport to enter the UK? Is there anything else? Copy of TB test should be fine. Your copy of passport won't be needed. Ok, thanks. Do you have any ideas in the first question? The TB certificate is o...

Re: Visa granted - next steps?

Hi again, We've still not had the documents back, and are starting to get a bit jittery about it. Is there any way of contacting Vulcan House directly? Or a better way of getting information? After dealing with them for nearly two months, I've come to the conclusion that phoning that the HO is an ex...

Re: Visa granted - next steps?

Thanks. So it sounds like we'd need to get a BRP once she gets the spouse visa? Sorry for all the questions, we just want to make sure we don't mess up, especially this far down the line!

Re: Visa granted - next steps?

1) I see. So, am I right in thinking that you're effectively saying that she could come to the UK at any time between April 8 and October 8? 2) In your previous post, you said: "Her visa in her passport should be valid for 6 months then there is no Biometric Residence Permit to collect. It is a...

Re: Visa granted - next steps?

1) The expiry date is October 8, so bang on six months after the validity date. But the UKVI seemed to say that she has to travel within 30 days of April 8? 2) Her visa in her passport should be valid for 6 months then there is no Biometric Residence Permit to collect. It is a generic letter. 3) She...

Visa granted - next steps?

Hi there, We woke up to the fantastic news this morning that my fiancee has been granted a UK Marriage Settlement Visa. I just wanted to quickly check a couple of things (I've phoned the UKVI about these, but I wasn't convinced by the woman that picked up the phone and don't want to re-ring and pay ...

Re: Early response to spouse visa application

NO one can predict the outcome and the text message may mean anything. If you have attached all the relevant documents correctly then the decision should be positive. Thanks. I know you're on this forum a lot - in your experience is it common for people to get a response this early? I thought we'd ...

Re: Early response to spouse visa application

Sorry, I obviously meant fiancee visa, rather than spouse (I'm not as good on the wording as she is).

Anyone able to advise? We're concerned that the speed of the response isn't the best sign, but equally they had not flagged up any issues and we were extremely thorough in sending off the documents.

Early response to spouse visa application

Hi all, My fiancee applied for her spouse visa in January, and did the biometrics on February 4. It was a non-priority application. We were told that the 60 working days would take us to April 29, so we've both tried to forget about it until then. But my fiancee just received a message saying that h...

What number would the Home Office in Sheffield call me from

I'm sponsoring my fiance's visa application, which was submitted last month. I've had a missed call from a number that I don't recognise, and am wondering if anyone knows that number the Home Office would call me from if they needed to check any details of the application? The area code for the numb...

Re: Returning of documents

Unfortunately I really don't think I have the receipt. I'll have a look again and see if I can find it. It was just a Royal Mail pre-paid self-addressed envelope that I attached with the documents. Is there any other way to get some sort of tracking number?
