Patience

Another question, slightly off the topic:
How long did you wait before receiving a confirmation from H.O. that they've received your residence card application? Weeks, months?

Thanks

Hi.

I am in exactly the same position. But unlike you, I don't even want to try applying for a Schengen, as I can just see the problems... I've resigned to traveling in the UK for the following 10 months, how sad!

Please do advise when you get an update.

Now, my EEA family permit is valid for 6 months, until March next year. I believe the EEA2 application takes much longer, maybe 8-10 months. What happ...

Kamemurr, did you get the stamp 4 free of charge, or did you have to pay EUR 100.00?

I have a question for all you GNIB experts: My situation: I have a stamp 4 + valid GNIB card on my old surname, which is still valid till April next year. I received my new passport (in my married surname) recently. I applied for a Schengen visa yesterday, ... and they told me I MIGHT have trouble b...

Hi As I don't understand your question I'll give you my timeline: Jan 06: Moved to Ireland, went to GNIB within 3 days to register. Got stamp 4 right away for 1 year. Jan 07: Went to GNIB to renew above mentioned. Couldn't get a ticket for a few days in a row, so applied for EU1, just because I didn...

Same method, went to GNIB to get the renewal, no real questions were asked, just employer's letter etc and usu...

Oh Kamemurr, I feel your pain! I can just imgaine how I would have performed about: someone has to work as we can't rely on social welfare, now can we???!!!! I went to GNIB in Jan to get a stamp 4 renewal (the previous year was so easy, no hassle). I had all my documents ready, as per the previous y...

I just have to share a thought with all of you on our infamous position: If all the EU countries took this Irish stance of "you have to have lived in another EU state before moving to Ireland (or whatever other EU country)" - where would we ever start??? No one would allow us to live or wo...
