Citizenship application - more than 7 months

Hi all,

I applied for British citizenship in July 2022. It has been more than 7 months & I haven't heard anything at all. Any guidance what to do, no response from their email addresses.

You're British only when you attend the ceremony.
You can travel on ILR BRP before your ceremony commences and you receive your certificate.
Thank you very much for your promt response!

Travel while waiting for decision

Hi all, I applied for citizenship application recently while I have ILR BRP valid for next couple of years. When does this BRP become void & has to be returned to Home Office? When we get the decision or when we attend the ceremony? The reason I'm asking is I have travel plans in coming holiday ...

Re: MN1 Taking Longr than 4 months

It's crazy.
I applied for my children in June, biometrics done on 29th July(free) in Manchester. Still waiting.
One of my colleagues applied in October and already got a response. Emailed at furthernationalityenquires@homeoffice.gov.uk. No response up till now.

You need to use proper passport photos
Thank you CR001. I did get their proper photos taken but used the digital ones on pdf and got it signed from referees online. Is it going to be ok?

Referee backing out

I have filed citizenship applications for my 3 children uder the age of 5. Their nursery owner agreed to be a referee and gave passport details and all. Re: **** COVID19 Biometrics appointments and UKVCAS ***** (Discuss here ONLY)

After waiting for few days I couldn't find any early appointments. The only way to book was to login exactly at 9 am and book for 29th July. I'm applying for my 3 kids so paid ones were above £300! Such a rip off honestly.

Chances of fee being revised?

I am following the court rulings about unlawful fees for children's citizenship application. The latest hearing was on 22-23rd June but Supreme Court is yet to announce the decision. I have to file applications for 3 of my kids. Is it worth waiting for a few days or can it take long? Any ideas?

Is it ok to start MN1 application for my kids born in UK?
You can start it but can't submit.
Once I receive approval email, do I have to wait for BRPs before submitting MN1?
Yes as you need the brp as proof of ilr.
Many thanks CR001

Not an issue. If you had any visa issue after 11 Jan 2018, then the correct answer to that question is Yes

Mistake in online application submitted

I have submitted online application on 25th May & have my biometrics appointment on 21st June. I just realised I misunderstood a question for my spouse. It asked "Have you had any absences from the UK during any leave granted since 11 January 2018?" We did go on a holiday in January 20...

https://www.immigrationboards.com/indefinite-leave-to-remain/uploading-your-documents-category-t296002.html The categories are generic. Just follow the checklist and upload documents where they fit the best. Not all categories would apply to you. Thanks a lot for your response. The cohabitation doc...

Applying with spouse

I have recently submitted my application along with my husband. Now while uploading documents, it gives similar options for both of us. Do I need to provide documents in each of the categories?
