Re: UKM application experience and timeline

Now this is bizarre. My email was replied to. Paris have all the documentation and have tried to contact my wife by email but we have not received it. I use and we gave a @mac.com address but they said i am using a different address. Maybe @icloud.com or @me.com. At any rate we cannot see their emai...

Re: UKM application experience and timeline

Two quick and related questions...... My wife is now in the eighth week since approval on May 3rd, and is still waiting for her invite from Paris. Does the invite usually come directly from the consulate or is it TLS contact, and will it come through her solicitor in the UK or directly to her? Many...

Re: UKM Romein

Thanks for your help. T it is then.

As her husband is British, i think the two children already hold UK passports so they should be fine.

Thank you once more.

Re: UKM Romein

I apologise. I did not read the age of the child in question. If the child is over 18, then Form T is still an option. To the best of my knowledge, Romein does not apply. It applies to people born before 1983 and who would have been British citizens if their mothers could pass on their British citi...

Re: UKM Romein

Not Romein itself, but the child can be registered as a British citizen using Form MN1 under Section 3(1). Form UKM is registration under Section 4C of the British Nationality Act 1981. (Page 19) Children born to a parent registered under section 4C, 4G, 4H, 4I of the British Nationality Act 1981 S...

UKM Romein

Hi all, As in the UKM timeline / experience thread, my wife’s application for citizenship has been approved and she is waiting for her ceremony invite (born outside the uk to a british mother). My question is , does the Romein route UKM apply to her daughter. She was born in London in 1985 , but the...

Re: UKM application experience and timeline

You’re asking about qualification under Form UKM guidelines . This is a restrictive basis under which citizenship by descent is granted through registration only if certain clearly laid out conditions are met . I’ve listed all of them in my previous post . The latest Guide UKM as far as I know hold...

Re: UKM application experience and timeline

I´m still not sure if I´m eligible. My mother, although born in Brazil, has a "British citizen" passport issued in 1984. Probably she was considered a CUKC with Right of Abode on Dec 31 1982, and so was given that status (she never lived in the UK). The problem is that my grandfather was ...

Re: UKM application experience and timeline

Not sure if this helps jkproperties, but when my wife was mistakenly asked to redo her biometrics, she was asked to book online. Below is the address they provided.....

Best of luck.

Re: UKM application experience and timeline

I don’t think we have a GWF reference. Just quote your overseas enrolment ref number, which is what we did. Thank you Conky2a, I gave the reference number that was at the top of my application number. Not to be rude but I don't think this person really knows what is going on, cause when I completed...

Re: UKM application experience and timeline

No, my wife is a us citizen, and she is applying from France. She received her case number and then biometric appointment request within 3 weeks of receipt by UKVI, which seems within the average timeframe, but it is the wait for approval that is proving far longer. She is into the seventh week sin...

Re: UKM application experience and timeline

I think you are sort of in the same boat as my wife jk. The most consistent timelines seem to be for US citizens applying from the US, where the process appears to be very streamlined. I have also been comparing to these most recent experiences, but unfortunately it just does not match up, in our ca...

Later this morning UKVI confirmed they did have it, and it was in a queue awaiting processing. No...
