I have been granted 4 month additional to the course time on CAS. If the course is less than 12 months (i mean extension in my case), you get 4 months additional.

Finally got an email from the UKVI today.

Timeline:
28th dec 2019 -submitted biometrics
10th feb 2020 - Confimration on visa decision received.

Yes, it's within UK - extension to complete PhD. Did biometrics in UKVCAS Belfast.

Did you get any response from UKVI? I am still waiting.

When i initially applied for my Phd visa outside UK, it took them less then 2 weeks to give me visa.

I guess the systen is completely changed now and they are struggling to meet out needs.

I think they are just way slow in responding or confimring back to us applicants. Hope for good news. Best wishes.

No i havent done my final viva yet. This extension is to arrange my final viva and make changes to thesis.

After viva, i can apply for DES visa.
