I combined the sponsor letter/invitation letter and yes it was a joint letter by me and my wife signatured by both of us

Thanks. Yes, my mother shall also be submitting her investments, bank statements and demonstrate bond.

Are photocopies of all other documents okay, or they need to be original? The sponsor/invitation letter is ofcourse in original.

Im applying for ILR on 27th September in Tier 1 general category. The set 0 guidance notes talks about providing the latest payslip and bank statements even though documentary evidence for previous earnings only requires payslips and statements for 12 consecutive months in the last 15 month period....

http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/aboutus/contact/applyinginperson/cost/ The site is back and working now. For benefit of others, you have to pay all the visa fees upfront. You can change date upto 5 days before appointment. If you fail to do so - they shall forfeit £100. Same goes for now show.
