Visa extension and ILR eligibility question

Hi Everyone, Sorry if this is not the right place to ask the question, but I'm a little confused about what my ILR eligibility dates would be. Just to give you a quick summary before I ask the question: I was in the UK on a Tier-4 dependent visa in Feb 2018. This was valid till 31-Aug-2019. I made a...

Re: Few questions regarding Skilled worker application

Hi everyone,

I called the Public enquiries number 0300 790 6258 today. They answered my first question with a "Yes", they are the same and will take you to the same page.

But they haven't been able to answer the other 2 questions. Any advice?

Hi, I have been on a Tier2 General visa since 2019. I'm now applying to extend my visa, but I'm a little confused with the changes in application process. 1. Is "Switching" to the Skilled worker visa (https://www.gov.uk/skilled-worker-visa/extend-your-visa) the same as "extend your vi...

Re: Tier-2 Visa application decision-time question

Thank you all for clearing that up.

If I'm counting it right, 8 weeks from 3rd July means August 28th? I haven't heard anything back yet. Should I be worried now? Is there any place I could contact and get any info on my application?

Oh, ok, so 8-weeks start on July 3 in my case, after biometrics?

Thanks for clearing the confusion.

Tier-2 Visa application decision-time question

Hi, I have a slight confusion. I've applied to switch to Tier-2 General visa from within the UK. My application was made on June 19, and fees paid on June 19 as well. The biometrics appointment was on July 3. This was a standard application, so 8-weeks is the timeframe mentioned. https://www.gov.uk/...

Re: Dependent Visa - Maintenance requirement

Just out of curiosity, can you not submit statements from 2-3 banks for the same period showing that the required amount was with you during the 90 days, split into different banks? For instance, you have bank statement of Bank A showing your account did not drop below 400 pounds for 90 days, and ba...

Re: Appropriate SOC code

That doesn't answer my question. Is a virtualization and data storage job covered under 2139 non-shortage list? Is 2139 a blanket code for jobs that can't be classified elsewhere as is says in title of the job code, or is it specific to QA and cyber-security jobs (which the code description leads me...

Or anyone knows any websites/portals where I can find the appropriate SOC code for a virtualization and data storage job? The ONS website doesn't show anything when I search for these keywords

Sorry about the confusion. I am on a Tier-4 dependent visa, currently working in this position. Re: Appropriate SOC code

Hi CR001, Thanks for the quick reply. My HR and Legal/Immigration team says the job-description I posted above would come under 3131 and not be sponsorable. I'm trying to find out if it can fall under the non-shortage occupation list for 2139, and thus be RQF6, but the description/job titles listed ...

Appropriate SOC code

Hi Everyone, Would someone be able to guide me to an appropriate SOC code for a Virtualization and Data-storage Administrator position?
