Thanks Scrudu, I contacted the visa section and they told me that because we actually got married in Ireland we would need to apply to the marriage to Irish national section. We have been waiting 6 months now and on the letter they said we would have to wait between 8-10 months. This whole situation...

edk2007, Do you hold another EU citizenship or are you solely an Irish citizen? I *think* if you are Irish, what you would need to apply for is a spouse visa, not EU1.
