Re: EU settlement - Non EU family member - CoA and decision time

Great news! That means your case is progressing, they have all your documents and are just waiting on a decision, you’re on the right track. I am starting to think all this FES imaging missing thing was an excuse for their forgetting all about our application. Why didn’t they ever bother to contact...

Hi, Yep, Croydon Centre! Sure, I’ll let you know how things go here on my side, my current residence card is due to expire in August, so they’ll have to sort it out ASAP otherwise I’ll be in limbo. Best of luck for us! Yikes - good luck!! I hope you get a resolution soon. Also, I'm starting to wond...

Re: EU settlement - Non EU family member - CoA and decision time

@erissonroso I called the EU settlement line again and the lady (after double checking with supervisor) said that all cases involving a missing FES like ours have been escalated and put in a separate queue that is being handled by senior case workers. They are "investigating". Let's see ho...

Re: Registered Traveller?

Thread with links to older thread on this topic. Do you hold one of the seven nationalities listed in my previous post ? Was your question about using the eGates or the EEA citizens queue (where you would still need to interact with an Immigration officer)? Thanks for finding the thread! My underly...

Re: Registered Traveller?

Technically, you have the same rights as an EU citizen, yes? No, not all rights. And if so, does that mean we can use the EU lane without needing to do anything, therefore avoiding the long queues for "all passports"? That seems to depend on the airport. Some airports allow you to use the...

Registered Traveller?

Hi everyone, A question on what happens at airports/borders if you receive presettled status through the EU settlement scheme and have a biometric passport. Technically, you have the same rights as an EU citizen, yes? And if so, does that mean we can use the EU lane without needing to do anything, t...

Caught up in process - what would you do if you were me?

Hello all! Have found this forum very insightful and was wondering if anyone can help give advice based on my situation: I am a non-EU national married to an EEA national. We both live and work in the UK (I'm on a Tier 2 visa). Last month, I applied for pre-settled status via the EU settlement schem...

COA: Not received even after 3 weeks.
I know a lady who was waiting for COA for 2 months. This Monday She received COA at 12pm and 4pm Settled status .
Good for her :) Do you know if she had done anything to raise attention to her case? Whether to call Sopa Steria/Home Office/ write to MP?

Re: EU settlement - Non EU family member - CoA and decision time

Anyone refused for settlement ? I would like to prepare myself if they refuse me Hi there have you still not heard back from home office. I am now on 11 (10.5 to be precise) weeks and still no communication or COA or anything. I have reached out to my MP whose office called yesterday to confirm tha...

Re: EU settlement - Non EU family member - CoA and decision time

Something has gone VERY wrong with my application... My timeline: Application submitted: 1 May Biometrics: 18 May (this was the earliest weekend slot available, and I had to pay £100 for it since I couldn't make weekdays) COA: Not received even after 3 weeks. I called the EU Settlement Scheme hotlin...

Help! Docs for biometric appointment?

Hi all! I'm applying as a non-EU spouse of an EEA citizen for the Settlement Scheme. Expecting to receive presettled status at the end of this and I've got my biometrics appointment later today. Under sopa steria website, in the section "mandatory documents" to bring there is nothing liste...

Re: Question on docs needed for biometrics appointment

Oh that's great news for you guys! Yeah, it's pretty confusing when they actually start counting the 5 continuous years because they give me a different answer each time I call the HO. Hope you're right though. Guess time will tell...

Re: Settlement Scheme: continuous residence question

Hi Mats, my EU spouse just heard back from the Home Office re: his application. As expected, they gave him pre-settled status BUT the letter stated the status starts from the date of the letter - this comes a bit of a surprise considering he's been in the UK for a year and we'd given them proof for ...

Re: Settlement Scheme: continuous residence question

Hi Mats, Based on the answers the Home Office has given me so far, if you apply for the scheme here your clock should have started from the time you both arrived in the UK about 4 years ago - so if you're accepted for pre-settled status you should be only a year or so away from getting settled statu...

Re: Question on docs needed for biometrics appointment

Thanks for the clarification. And yes, I have to say they do sound like they haven't the faintest clue even though they sound confident when giving you the answer. When you tell them their answer contradicts their colleague's answer, they come back after consultation with a supervisor with a third a...

Re: Non-EU applications for Settled and Pre-Settled status - Criteria and outcomes

Quick update guys. I've received my status approved as Pre-settled though system was showing will be eligible for settled status. Home office is right about my application as I've been married for less than 5 years. Feel free to ask anything about my application. BTW, I've applied on 31st of Januar...

Question on docs needed for biometrics appointment

Hello all, I'm a non-EU citizen currently on Tier 2 (General) visa here and I just applied for pre-settled status via the EU settlement scheme as my spouse is an EEA citizen also living here. After scheduling the biometrics appointment online, I was told to upload documents. The section "mandat...

Re: Settlement Scheme: continuous residence question

Small update: I did call a third time and they confirmed the last answer they gave (ie. in my case, it's from the date that my spouse arrived in the UK, which is sometime before we got married because I was already in the UK and we were already in a relationship at the time of his arrival)

Re: Settlement Scheme: continuous residence question

Ok this is what makes the application process so confusing and frustrating. Sharing this for others who are in the same situation - I called the official EU Settlement Scheme hotline today and spoke to two representatives. One call to ask and the second call to confirm what I had been told. Luckily ...
