But we will have to apply for 2 years or 5 years ?

Our total visa period is 5 years from 2016-2021
When we apply for dependant visa, the tier 2 visa left will be 2 more years.

The total length of CoS for our current tier 2 visa is 5 years. By the time we apply for the dependant visa, we will have 2 more years left.
So we will be apply for 2 years or 5 years ?
