So I received my FBR certificate today in the mail! 😁
Timeline:
December 18th 2018: application received New Zealand consulate
Added FBR: 4th July 2019
Certificate Received: 8th August 2019
No email of congratulations

So emailed my local Irish consulate today, (New Zealand), to enquire about how my application was progressing. They replied promptly, which was great, but stated the usual 6 to 12 month processing time,....... but they also added that my application was in the final stages, and they were awaiting on...

Thanks Sulla! Much appreciated, my witness signed the form and photos, the recent changes required the same person to witness the passport, but as you say “requirements at time of application” so this is a relief. Up until last year the NZ consulate even printed the FBR, if only I had applied earlie...

I applied for FBR in December through the New Zealand Irish consulate, they informed me that my application is processed in New Zealand and only sent to Ireland for printing but the processing time as of January is still the advised 6 to 12 months.
