The residency requirement for the spouses of British citizens is 3 years, which is not expected to be spent fully under a dependant visa. Such as you can claim to have a relation prior to marriage and as many of experienced members have previously stated here "all lawful stay in UK counts, even...

It's got nothing to do with an Employment Tribunal unless, for example, you were unfairly/wrongly dismissed or are owed wages. Like I said, the payment of tax and NI is your employers responsibility. Reporting them to the HMRC should not affect your application. Employment Tribunals do deal with un...

I suggest you apply to Employment Tribunal immediately, have your case filed there. They will provide a case number to you and you can forward it to both HMRC and Home Office proving your claim.

You can have the country of birth changed on your Naturalisation Certificate, I just had mine done!!! How can you change country of birth after the birth? I think you can if there had been a typo or similar mix up in the original papers submitted. I can't imagine if there is a chance to have it cha...

Good character actually amounts to more than criminality and terrorism. See the Good Character FAQ (click) Thanks Amber, what I mentioned was only 2 outstanding potential risks that Navalaviator has not preliminarily eliminated in his original post such as fixed penalty notices, tax arrears etc. Ot...

Only risks (if they should be called risks anyways) could be either being outside UK on the first day of the qualifying period count and a having past that involves any criminal or terrorism supporting activity in your homeland or previous country of residence. Rather than that I see no chances of r...

This question has been asked before and several experienced members said "no, as long as you have your name in the council register for that property and there are unpaid taxes that ended up in penalty or court"

They might correct me if I remembered it wrongly.

I guess you have already given the answer: You have been an non EU dependant of an EU citizen that means if you are particularly building your claim on it then you have to submit the relevant docs about it according to my knowledge. Like if you had the ILR for a year it would be way more simple, 5 y...

I think you are over-worrying yourself. Have you seen any section within naturalization guidance about you should be employed in the first place? As long as you tick the boxes such as continuous residence, good character, etc no one will care if you are working in particular entity or the other one....

Have you had a look at the guidance within application form and its accompanying notes about how to fill it? There it explains briefly about what you need to provide in your application. Have you been working here? I believe your employment history and/or NI contributions record statement will provi...

I wouldn't notice the typo myself if you haven't mentioned that , my friend. Have you tried inquiring Home Office about this? Maybe they can say if it is negligible cos seems literally a typo with two letters swapped doesn't allowing a pronunciation mistake. I am absolutely no expert in such so I'd ...

Please check the July 2013 timeline post. People there were talking about the peculiar responses they got when applied to councils' NCS teams such as no approval letters received by registrar from HO for 3 weeks , all silent due to an IT problem etc.. Yours might be in the same boat. I would't worry...

I suggest you get that mistake corrected prior to applying to naturalization unless the consulate here keeps the passport with typo for giving a corrected one to you. (In this case you would lose the residence records of your exit and enters to UK). I can't understand why you haven't had it correcte...

HMRC can provide your NI Contributions Record and Employment History Statement both of them provides the proof of your residence if you have been working pretty much continuously.

Or, if you have an ongoing medical condition that requires seeing a health proffessional regularly that might even help.

Happily, you can have your legal stay in UK prior to your marriage counted within 3 years' period, considering that as a part of relation spent whilst you are on another visa. (I may need a confirmation from a more experienced member here) And you can definitely apply the same day you had your ILR a...

The reason of Good Character Requirement is to protect the society from additional criminals who will then not be able to be removed once naturalized as a British. I believe this involves assaulters and fraudsters (in this case both the same person) and I would't be happy to see they are finding hel...

Applying using another city's NCS

Hi all, Due to the fact that nearest appointment offered is 8-9 weeks and I am absolutely not happy with waiting, I am planning to fly to London and apply at Wandsworth NCS. Yet I have doubts: 1) Do I have to apply to the councils nearby me (at least in the same country such as Scotland for my case)...

Perhaps lots of caseworkers have taken their annual leaves or sunshine in Britain didn't work for employees of such repetitive work based professions

Forgot to tell that you can get an official translation of your ID information in a formal certificate with your photo and Turkish Consulate General's stamps on it which will be counted pretty much as a your homeland passport in your application.

Check the website I have given to you...
