Re: Spouse extension FLR(M) or FLR(FP)

Thank you very much for your help. I imagine some people may have applied a couple of months ago, and haven;t been able to make an appointment yet due to centre closures (due to Covid-19), so by the time they submit documents they could be several months out of date?

Re: Spouse extension FLR(M) or FLR(FP)

So they can be dated after the application date? For example, apply today and then get letters/statements dated in June? Nope. If apply today then should be dated until today and the latest payslip, bank statement, employer letter must not be older than 28 days from today. And if you don't self upl...

Re: Spouse extension FLR(M) or FLR(FP)

Sorry, one more question, if the visa expires in early July, and we apply online now, when we get an appointment to drop off the supporting docs, is it a time window of 28 days before that appointment that bank statements/letter/etc should be dated? so, in other words, apply now online, then collec...

Re: Spouse extension FLR(M) or FLR(FP)

Thanks - I fear that the decision letter may have been lost during a house move.

Spouse extension FLR(M) or FLR(FP)

Hi, Sorry if this seems daft - when my wife got her first spouse visa almost 2.5 years ago, coming to join me in the UK from outside, I imagine we must have used the FM application? We're trying to find the original acceptance letter, which we recall mentioned both 5 and 10 years (maybe it mentioned...

Re: Spouse visa extension - IELTS required?

Sorry, one further question, do you need to take another tuberculosis test for a visa extension (if from one of the countries on the Home Office list)? No. Thank you. Do you know where/if we can find out if an expired IELTS test will count? It was General IELTS, score 8.5, and the certificate has a...

Re: Spouse visa extension - IELTS required?

Her IELTS score was 8.5, which I believe is C2 (she's fluent), do you mean that even if it has expired it's worth looking into whether it may be valid? It's just annoying to have to pay like £150 to take an exam again. Many thanks for such quick replies to my first post, you provide wonderful assis...

Re: Spouse visa extension - IELTS required?

A2 English level minimum for an extension. You need passports, brp card, evidence of meeting the financial requirment, 2 years evidence of cohabitation from 3 to 6 sources in both your names. Also, if test centres are currently closed due to Covid-19, can you still apply online before your visa exp...

Spouse visa extension - IELTS required?

Hi, Does anybody know if there is a comprehensive list of spouse visa extension requirements? Is it correct that the applicant will need to take IELTS again (after getting a very high mark when getting the original spouse visa 2.5 years ago, as I believe they expire after 2 years)? Also, if test cen...

NHS number

Hello, My wife is now in the UK on a spouse visa, and of course we paid the NHS surcharge as part of the visa application process. How does she get an NHS number, to access local GP/dentist services? Does she simply need to go to a local medical practice and register as a new patient, with her BRP c...
