Re: Foreign Birth Registration

In the meantime, however, Oction popped up with an August 1st 2018 application date - which means that we are no longer in the position of all the people from the start of August having been moved through. I applied on 16th August 2018 and, apart from the automatic email confirmation, have heard ab...

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

Some good news on my end. Received my certificate in the post yesterday (18th July) which states date of entry as 11th July. So about a 11 month wait for me! Good luck to everyone applying, hopefully the last August and September applicants will be processed soon. Onto the passport process... Wow, ...

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

Yay! We have some progress on our application. Received an email today that says my wife will be approved for FBR shortly. The application will not be approved until we confirm our address by return email - unless we moved. If we moved (we haven’t yet) they require proof of new address. It has been...

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

My certificate is date 5th July, which is the same day I received an email asking me to confirm if my postal address is the same as on my initial application. Certificate was delivered on 11th July so less than a week later. Hope that helps everyone! :-) Good luck to those still waiting. Not long n...

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

Well guys, my wait is over. I received my FBR certificate and documents this morning. So it would appear August 2018 applications are being processed and it’s quite quick once you make it to the top of the pile. Finding this forum was a massive comfort when I’d sent off my application but not heard...

I am now 10 months 4 days (Aug 29th, 2018 rec'd). No queries. To add to the pie Irish school holidays commenced July 1st (until August 31st). Ian I was just thinking this morning that mine has now been ten months and one week since notice of them receiving my application August 2018. I was hoping t...

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

Is it a thought that they do try to keep the number of participants at a certain number in order not to have too large of groups when the ceremony happens? Still glad to be here with you all to keep thoughts and progress updated as best as we are all able. There is no ceremony involved in the FBR p...

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

Gave FBR a call to check status this AM. On hold for about 8 minutes. Was told when application was received (8/14/18). He said it has not been processed and estimated could take 12 months. Also asked about changing address as we have sold our house in preparation for a move to Europe. Glad we made...

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

Glad to see you got it Michael. I notice that they have added a photo in the top left. This replaces the holographic harp that my own contains in that area. Actually, that is my favorite part of the FBR certificate. I have always liked holograms. I assume since Brawn also mentioned his contained a ...

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

Based on past experiences, certified email from Dublin arrives in the USA the day after it is mailed and generally takes 4-9 days for US postal to deliver. Would love to see it before the 4th of July as it is a holiday and my mothers bday. My birthday is this coming weekend, I get it Michael, I am ...

Anyone else got updates on their FBR application ? I’m nearly at 8 months (applied early Nov 18). Any Sept/Oct 2018 applicants getting approval yet??? Re: Foreign Birth Registration

Just spoke to the FBR team so thought I’d give an update. He said my application (sent 1st week in August) has yet to be checked so hasn’t been processed at all. But that they have moved on to August 2018 applications now so he’d hope for some news for me in the next few weeks and said to give them...
