Something doesn't quite ring right here.

The UKBA does not serve refusal notices on a person via a third party and by e-mail!!!

Very strange indeed.

I am a current IO. First off, you needn't have waited in the non-Eu queue. The convention is that non-EU family members should be seen at the EU queue if travelling with the EU passport holder. In fact, we are instructed by managers to see all and any passengers at any desk they present themselves. ...

KKAJ,

Thanks for the education

Its been ages since I last dealt with substantive asylum claims so I was unaware the policy had changed.

Afraid I can't answer your questions with any certain knowledge, but I'm sure others will assist.

Good luck.

KKAJ,

If as you say you have been granted refugee status then you would have been granted ILR/NTLC rather than limited leave to remain of 5 years. Are you sure you have been granted asylum/refugee status?

Don't do it. The UKBA takes its role in safeguarding children extremely seriously especially in the light of previous tragic outcomes involving children. You can expect to be questioned and detained at the airport extensively. Your details will be recorded and you may even, initially, be suspected of...

It really doesn't matter if the reason is disclosed, so long as the child-...

What were you doing in the UK on your PSW visa prior to going to Spain? If you were working then the IO may well wish to satisfy himself that this is no longer the case. Whether or not you should travel would depend entirely on if you are a visa or non-visa national. South Africans are visa nati...

It depends. You almost certainly won't need it to leave the country. No one will stop you leaving the country because you don't have a BRP. If however you are stopped on the way out by UKBA, and that would only be because you don't have a valid visa and are suspected of overstaying, then all you have...
