Your Tier 1 visa is still valid as already stated.
Quite frankly the IO who dealt with you on the
control needs re-training,all he/she needed to do
was grant you entry on your tier 1 visa which would
have been perfectly satisfactory for you to proceed to Ireland.

Mrs Turner Broadly speaking the advice you have been given is correct. However, due to your previous adverse immigration history you will almost certainly be flagged up as a person of interest when you present your passport, be it Belgian or American. However, rest assured that you will not be refus...

A deportation order signed by the secretary of state will have to meet the Public Policy requirement, for it to continue to hold. Assuming the DO was not issued under the Public Policy requirement, the OP can come to the UK, without applying for it to be receded. That may well be, but if he turns u...

Even if his wife hasn't contacted the UKBA and nothing has been done to his visa, he can still be in trouble if at the airport they start asking him questions since the reason he was given visa for, is not there anymore. How would they know that if nobody has told UKBA.? If questioned on arrival he...

If you are leaving the UK, production of the documents you mention should satisfy any enquiry as to why you have a new passport with no endorsement. If you don't require a visa to travel to the UK, the worst the airline can do is make you buy a return ticket. On arrival in the UK, you could be held...

Since the introduction of the PBS there is now no longer any requirement for students to leave the UK at the end of their studies.

All students in the UK are able, at the conclusion of their studies, to apply under T1 for the post study worker category.

Hi I'm wondering what my rights are if I get stopped by UKBA agents on my way out of the tube, say. Since I don't carry my passport with me, I have no evidence of my immigration status with me. Could one be detained for that? Also, if they ask to check my fingerprints do I have the right to refuse?...
