Re: Early extension of tier-2 dependent if main appliacant gets ILR

Apologise if I am not allowed to ask this here. Do you know of a good lawyer who we can consult to do cases for these applicants? Members are not permitted to post names and details of lawyers or immigration advisors on the forum. Besides, a lawyers isn't really needed. The immigration rules are ve...

Are you saying she can't apply for her kids without applying for her husband at the same time?
Yes and the same applies for ILR. For citizenship, her children will qualify when she does or after she is British and her husband has ILR.
Thanks a lot for the information.

Re: Early extension of tier-2 dependent if main appliacant gets ILR

Thanks a lot. Very informative. And what if she doesn't want to apply for her husband's extension (TBH he is not interested in coming to UK). So she is only planning to get her kids extensions done and later on ILR and Citizenship (when it's time). Are you saying she can't apply for her kids without...

Early extension of tier-2 dependent if main appliacant gets ILR

Hi, My sister will get her ILR by around second week of March 2023 (as she will do the premium service, so hopefully it will take upto 10 days). Her kids are tier-2 dependents and their tier-2 extension is due in Jan 2023, while they will be eligible for ILR in July 2023. So the question is, can the...

Re: Main application ILR application with under 18 children

Correct Further to this, my brother-in-laws lives in Pakistan mostly (as he is a Doctor as well and has a good job in Pakistan), so for being out of UK most of the year, he might not be eligible for ILR in Aug 2023. So in that case, would my sister's under 18 will be able for their ILR based on my ...

Your children will have to extend their visa with your spouse.

PBS dependent children qualify for ilr when your spouse does.
Got it. So, we have to wait till Aug 2023 until my brother-in-law is eligible for ILR, and only then their under 18 kids will be able to apply for ILR.

What is the UK immigration status of the other parent?
Her Husband is Tier 2 dependent and he got visa in July 2018 as well. So he will be extending his visa as Tier 2 dependent, while my sister will be applying for her ILR.

Main application ILR application with under 18 children

Hi, My sister will be applying for her ILR in Feb 2022 (based on completing 5 years on Tier 2 - Doctor). Three of her kids are under 18 but they came to UK in Aug 2018, so they will have completed only 3 and half years by Feb 2022. Can they apply for their ILR at the same time as my sister, as they ...
