Re: September Citizenship Ceremony 2019

Try applying with your current passport and show them a copy of the ‘approval’ letter requesting your GNIB card + proof of payment + proof of sending them the info (+ proof of receipt).

Re: September Citizenship Ceremony 2019

On a side note, would anyone know if we are to bring our existing passports (from Uk) to the ceramony? Mine is up in April next year. Was holding of renewing on account of citizenship & Irish passport but starting to panic and being left stranded Lord alone knows what will happen with Brexit! I...

Re: Court rules "continuous residence" means you CANNOT LEAVE IRELAND AT ALL for year before application

Yes, sad re another regurgitation. Yet what can be done when they’re in recess? Wonder why the media isn’t covering the citizenship bit and the wait- people have been waiting for years! If there’s a shortage of staff, then surely they need to hire more. How can naturalization take longer than 6 mont...

Re: September Citizenship Ceremony 2019

The five possible option dates for future ceremony can be 21 Oct 2019 28 Oct 2019 4 Nov 2019 11 Nov 2019 18 Nov 2019 The approx minimum waiting time is 40 days and...

It possibly could but I would include bank statements/electricity/TV or internet bills etc- they should have your (ie his) address on it.

Re: Response from INIS to emails

I applied for naturalization in late June, received my passports at the end of the same week without a receipt/ref number. Wrote in to them and got an email back approx a month later telling me that my application was being processed and that they don’t need any further documents. When I rang in thi...

Ireland is still my place of residence and is reckonable based on my stamps. - Would previously naturalized citizens who did not meet that criteria have their citize...

I would and would also include a written letter stating what you just mentioned too.
I’m going to have to do the same for my PPS card should I not hear from them for the Dec naturalization (expires in January).

Re: 2019 Naturalization Response Delay Discussion

Quite amazed that my friend who applied in April didn’t get her passports back yet whilst another friend who applied in May got hers back in two weeks with an acknowledgement, receipt and reference number. I applied on the 24th of June and got my passport back later that week with a generic letter s...

Wow! You’ve really put it some effort going through all the data throughout the years!

Really great to see it pictorially/visually. Thank you!
