Employer letter for absences (Tier 2)

Does my employer's letter have to explain why I was away for work related absences?

My employer's letter only state "work" or "holiday". Is that enough?

Thanks!

Name in Life in the UK test

Hopefully this will be the last of my silly questions. I have a somewhat long name, and there's a slight mismatch between my name on the passport and in the life in the UK letter. My full name, let's say, is Abe Ben Charlie Delta. In the Life in the UK letter, I have - Last Name: Delta - First Name:...

I am in a similar situation (WP/Tier 2), and I have a question regarding the WP document. The only thing related to the WP I have is the letter from 5 years ago. Is there another WP document that I should present?

I think it should be fine, but I was wondering if the UKBA would cross-check something and notice the BRP don't match.

BRP reference wrong for Life in the UK test

Something really stupid happened. When I registered for the Life in the UK test, I've managed to enter the wrong BRP number! There was some dirt, and I mistaken an O for a Q. However, the guy checked my document, I took the test and passed! Is that going to be a problem for the ILR application? I me...

Re: Bank statements printed at the bank should be stamped?

but it should be fine since it shows the Natwest header on it. If it is on bank letter headed paper than it should be fine. The thing is, it looks just like something someone just printed. It's a black and white statement, with Natwest logo on the top and my general details and transactions. It doe...

Bank statements printed at the bank should be stamped?

I just went to Natwest, and they printed my last 6 months statements. The lady told me that they can't stamp the statements, but it should be fine since it shows the Natwest header on it.

Is that true, or do I really need them stamped? Also, is 6 months enough time?

You are right, the wording on the document is a bit confusing. But it's much much better to clarify these things than not. :D

Re: NHS is considered public fund?

This might sound silly, but actually don't know if NHS access is considered public funds or not? Since my visa state "no access to public funds", does it mean I shouldn't have consulted a GP? NHS is not public funds. You pay for your NHS services with your NI contributions. Thanks for the...

From what I understand, A and B remains the same, and they are adding the C clause, which reads: “C. Where the applicant is not being paid the appropriate rate in Appendix J due to maternity, paternity or adoption leave: (a) Payslips must be: (i) the applicant’s payslip from the month immediately pr...

But it's not for all cases of Tier 2, right? As you linked, it seems to be only for "Where the applicant is not being paid the appropriate rate in Appendix J due to maternity, paternity or adoption leave".

Thanks, alanwong! My employer will provide a letter for all my absences (as is required now). I am not in breach of the current absences rules (more than 180 days in a year period), but I just wanted to verify that my absence to work from my home country, for 40 days, is ok. I just realised that bot...

Although not a senior, I a colleague of mine had a similar situation than yours , regarding secondments. She spent about 3/4 months away, in our US offices. She also didn't break the 180 days rule and she was working for a branch of our company. I believe our HR department provided a detailed letter...

syed_ILR, what do you mean? Based on the document below, it's 180 days per 12 month, not for the 5 years. Is that what you meant?

Questions regarding my SET(O) application

I came to the UK by the end of 2007 on a Work Permit, and switched to a Tier 2 General visa around May 2012. Now I am preparing to apply for ILR, through the SET(O) form, in a month or so (if I can ever get an appointment). However, I have a couple of questions regarding documentation and proof I ha...

Hello,

Thanks in advance

EC (work permit) - employer's letter of support

Quick question: the entry clearance for a work permit holder says my employer needs to send me a letter of support. Is this just a statement that they are hiring me or it should give financial details of the company or something more?

Entry clearance after work permit

Hello all, After an unsuccessful first try, I've finally got my work permit. Thus, the next logical step is to apply for an entry clearance right? So, I was wondering how hard is to get an EC with an WP. Since I have an WP, it means I've already secured a job, thus it would be easier to prove I can ...
