Re: Citizenship Applications From 2021 Pending Approval

Late reply to say thanks for your response. Fair point about family reunification being satisfied by my permanent residency. I've lived in Ireland for six years now (child will be five next year), I applied as soon as I met the minimum residency required. I'm going to submit a FOI request and we'll...

Hi folks, I applied for naturalisation in January 2021 based on my Irish citizen young child (we are both resident in Ireland). At the two year mark I emailed (for the first time) requesting an update as all the time estimates had elapsed, I essentially received a form letter email reply indicating...

Re: EUFAM to Irish Citizen spouse

Just to second what was said above, EUFAM is better (that's what I'm on, also thanks to a British citizen) and yes she should wait for the program to 'exchange' that permission thanks to Brexit. Good luck!

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

Hello there, first time poster here. I applied for FBR in May 2019 and wasn't expecting much to happen given the circumstances but have just received the following email and wondered if it was legitimate? I wasn't expecting it and it just sounded slightly 'unusual'. Is it genuine? Many thanks for a...

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

I have all the documents I need to apply for FBR but having some trouble finding a suitable witness. Is it ok the complete the online application and delay sending the witnessed form a documents until a few weeks later? Having read the posts on here it seems that sometimes when the completed form i...

Re: Naturalisation: counting days away / addresses list

thank you both for the responses. I got my first address the first time I registered. After that, I was living in temporary accommodation (1 month rent, hostels, etc). Unfortunately, I didn't register any of these addresses to GNIB as they were temporal while I was looking for a long term rent plac...

Re: Canadian Working Holiday to Work Permit

Also, how does this work in terms of your IRP, bank and PPSN? Will I need a new PPSN and must I close my bank while I am gone? I'm no help with the actual employment visa part of your question, however, your IRP is tied to your visa. My current IRP expires the day my WHA does. As for a bank account...

EU1 parent of an EEA baby

Hello, after lurking for the past few months I've finally registered to post this. I'm applying as a qualifying family member as the parent of an EEA citizen child. Said child is dual British and my nationality, but not yet Irish; FBR application was submitted a couple of months ago. My current Iris...
