New application forms

Hi

New application forms are out this month for all categories. I also heard that it is not possible to apply under the LONG RESIDENCE rule at the PEO and only postal applications are accepted.

Anyone else heard this ? Thanks.

Hi

I made SAB request and they dont have any landing cards on me. I entered in 1998. I have my passports though. Will this be a problem when applying for ILR under the long residence rule ?

Thanks.

College closed

Hello My college has closed and I am going to register in a new college from January. I attended the old college from August till December. I might not be able to provide attendance records. Will this be a problem when informing the BIA of the college change ? The old college has been taken off the ...

this happened to me as well. Get your file from the BIA just in case. or make sure the embarkation stamp is there. if the embarkation stamp is there then you have to mention the absence and the fact that the immigration officer did not stamp on re-entry.

Hi

It doesnt matter anyway. The 10 yr might be removed in April 2008 after the new points system comes into force.

If not in April, it will definately be taken off the immigration rules. My 10 years comes up next year and I am not looking forward to ILR.

Good luck.

The 10 year rule might be abolished. Imagine the number of people who entered the UK 10 years ago from now. They want to reduce the number of migrants / population. Students: The college/uni will need to get a sponser license. Not all colleges will be able to get this. Points will be given according...

You have transcripts from the college that was raided ?

What's the name of the college ?

If you have transcripts, that means the college was not bogus, so why was it raided ?

10yr Long residence to be removed in April 2008

Hello

There are rumours going around that the 10yr long residence rule will be taken off the immigration rules in April 2008. This is in line with the new points system. Every April they tend to look and modify immigration rules I guess.

Anyone else heard about this ?

I have been a student since 2002. Worked part-time and paid taxes. My parents left the country in 2002. So its not an abuse of diplomatic previleges. Its the long residence rules mate.

Why do you sound so harsh ?
