I think in few months things will be clear. I can just hope they will add transitional arrangements for people on WP like HSMP pre nov 2006.

Also now it is far more important Immigration Welfare Board win the WP JR.

Without knowing details how can some one assist ?

What is immigration status of your friend ?

Was she prosecuted ? If yes, then did she declare it in her ILR application ?

Sub renting a housing association flat is not an 'immigration offence'.

Slightly different situation to me but I can share my experience. Im on 5 yr on WP. However, in my case, Im earning 34% higher salary that mentioned on original WP. I have discussed this matter with legal people and they assured me this should not be issue as this is not substantial salary increase....

Im thinking may be I was not eligible to buy this flat and housing association just did not realize it. I personally think it is not fair for housing association to pass Government subsidized rent to any one who can not claim Public Funds.
