how important is it to attach bank statements with ILR or WP FLR applications. does going into overdraft every month have a negative effect on the application.

my own experiance for working for universities is that you have to prove you are better than the EEA ppl being interviewed. in my view the answer to both your questins is no. i think in workpermit you cannot work for any one else other than the empoyer stated on your workpermit and you can apply for indefenite leave to remain only after your 5 year period is over and you are still needed by your comany i.e in 2009 regard...
Would the PBS system apply to those already in the UK under a certain category? I mean will it be retrospective like the 4 to 5 year ILR change?

IMHO take as much as you can and every info you have. Showing more evidence than less is always better. I THINK if you provide your NI number than they shoud be able to trace your previous salary if need be. but if you have any salary slips just attach them anyway .
