Hiya,

The Isle of Man, Jersey and Guernsey (Channel Islands) are not part of the UK, though they are Crown dependencies. HSMP is purely for work within the UK and hence does not apply to these islands.

Hiya, If you apply for FLR (HSMP) after a successful HSMP application, your WP LTR will be cancelled and your FLR (HSMP) LTR will apply... i.e., you will receive LTR until (say) about this period, 2010. Your wife can continue to remain as your dependant. You can apply for her LTR as your dependant w...

Hiya, If you apply now, you would essentially have lived 6 months in the UK and 6 in India. You then have the option of showing either income, each pro-rated to 12 months. (Normally, the HO will calculate income earned in each country separately, pro-rate that to 12 months separately and award point...

Hiya,

For FLR (HSMP), just send those docs mentioned in the FLR appln. form (Passport, photos, etc.). You need not send the documents you sent for the HSMP Approval.

Please do a search for one of my earlier posts on this one, if u need more info.

Hope this helps.

Cheers.

Does the HO send... ?

Hi All, Does the HO send New Year greetings to all applicants? Anyways, Wish you all a Very Happy New Year 2008!! Cheers. PS: My question was merely a ruse to make this post seem official... don't give it too much thought. In appreciation of this forum, request all to post your greeting messages (if...

Hiya,

There are only a handful of categories that can switch in-country. And "Dependant of a Work-Permit Holder" is not one of those. Hence she will have to apply for EC from India.

You can refer to the guidance notes about the categories that can switch in-country.

Cheers.

Hiya,

Since you answered Q24, you can therefore ignore Q25. Answer either ONE of Q24 and Q25 - not both.

PS: This applies purely to your particular situation. It may differ for other applicants.

Cheers.

Hi,

Certainly. The points will be awarded based on your:

1. Country Band, and
2. Income Band as calculated by the GBP equivalent of your Gross Salary, converted to GBP (if not in GBP) at the prevailing exchange rate of the last payslip.

You may calculate points based on your Gross Salary.

Hello,

The points will be awarded based on your Gross Salary.

However, in case you are submitting Bank Statements, the Net Salary should be reflected as credits in your Statements and hence is equally important.

Hope that answers your query.

Cheers.

Hiya,

Is there a subsidiary list? I don't see any of the IIMs or other Management Institutes here. I am certain the PGDM from IIMs and some other Management Institutes is comparable to a British Masters... I hold one such CoC myself.

Hi Worriedmr,

I can confirm that a BE from MREC is certainly equivalent to a British Bachelor's Degree. I know alumni from your college (now MNIT) who have received the NARIC CoC.

If you are an Honours graduate, it is equivalent to a British Bachelor's (Honours) Degree.

Hiya, Getting a CoC from NARIC is dependant on how many points you intend to claim under the category "Educational Qualifications". If you plan to claim for your Masters (35 points), then get a CoC from NARIC for the M.Sc. Degree. If you intend to claim for your Bachelors (20 points), get ...

Hi, Maybe you could use this website to locate interpreters. http://www.proz.com/?sp=interpreter_search Though there is no definition of a "Official Translator" provided by the HO, I guess one who is registered with the country of operation should do? Am I wrong in thinking so? Cheers. Jim.

Since you are applying in-country and you are in one of the "switch-eligible" categories (you are on a WP), you can apply using the FLR (HSMP) form, available for download on the HO website.

Please see some of my earlier posts for the documents required.
