HSMP Process Engineers

Hi, I am writing to find out if anybody has successfully secured a process engineering job as an HSMP Visa holder in the UK. I have been sending my applications to firms/agents for the past 3 months but got only 2 interviews. The firms/agents seem to discriminate if your cert. is not from the UK. I ...

New HSMP holder in the UK

Hi,
I've just arrived in the UK on HSMP.
Apart from searching for a job, what do I need to do? I mean how do I need to register in any government establishment or not? What will be my ID/work permit number? Is it the same as the number on the EC stamped in my passport?

Thanks

HSMP approval does not 'entitle' you to anything, other than the right to work once you have obtained entry clearance. Victoria You are right. Wrong choice of word maybe. Now I want to quote: move into the second stage of the application process ... apply for either entry clearance to come to the U...

HSMP approval entitles only yourself for entry clearance. Once you have your entry clearance you can sponsor your spouce and children for Dependent visa. According to the guidance doc., HSMP entitles me to EC for my spouse, children under 18, and myself. To be able to sponsor dependent visa you nee...

Thank you for the replies. I go to Nigeria every two months and do most of my research work there. I am resident in Spain and receive grants every month for my research work.

It is clearly stated in the guidance notes that your past earnings - 12 out the last 15 months will be considered.
So, why "used the paper tax clearance, 2003 - August 2004"?

I don't understand.
