Re: **** COVID19 and UKVCAS Biometrics Appointments **** (ONLY discuss here)

@Cristina88 Guru, Angel, Messiah, Cullinan, Finally am taking your advice and not waiting anymore to be in the queue and submitting today, realised no need to wait for 'normalcy'! I have all docs ready so best course will be to pay & submit and then I upload docs on UKVCAS (getting login / pwd ...

by finallyilrlr » Mon Sep 21, 2020 4:16 pm Just DM'd UKVCAS on twitter and they said that they're holding us (post-12 sep applicants) off because there are no appointments available anyway - so they're processing the backlog. Guru, Angel, Messiah, Cullinan, Finally am taking your advice and not wai...

Re: **** COVID19 and UKVCAS Biometrics Appointments **** (ONLY discuss here)

Cristina88 Still confused whether to wait more or pull the trigger. TBH majority Tier 2 applications are processed very quick even on standard route. Choice is completely yours. But I doubt super-priority will resume anytime soon. Most probably biometrics will be opened up in phases with date cut o...

Re: **** COVID19 and UKVCAS Biometrics Appointments **** (ONLY discuss here)

Delayed return to our pre-COVID service Following the changes to our service caused by Covid-19, we are planning to return to our normal ways of working soon. This will mean that customers will be able to book an appointment as soon as they register with UKVI/UKVCAS. We were planning to do this on ...

Re: **** COVID19 and UKVCAS Biometrics Appointments **** (ONLY discuss here)

Given the recent surge in cases, potentially there will be stricter rules implemented today if not a national lockdown. Calls for national measures to be implemented today. Best to keep an eye on the news. The restrictions may impact the UKVCAS appointment bookings also. I would urge anyone applyin...

Re: **** COVID19 and UKVCAS Biometrics Appointments **** (ONLY discuss here)

Hi Cullinan sir, Guru, I am eligible for ILR from today (entry date 17-Oct-2015) and have few months before visa expiry (14-Jan-2021). Given that UKVCAS says that they were planning to open ‘pre covid services’ on 21 Sep but are still testing with UKVI - does it make sense to wait for 1-2 days to k...

Re: **** COVID19 and UKVCAS Biometrics Appointments **** (ONLY discuss here)

Following this thread closely for some time and some other forums, obviously it depends on complexity of case but in general it seems like - fastest decision is coming for those going for both IDV & appointment? - Then little more time for appointment only (opt out) folks and finally - longest f...

Re: Tier 2 General to ILR application

Respected Gurus, Senior members, I am in final stage of submitting application and have couple of questions mainly on checklist: 1) There are 2 docs in checklist: 1 - Current BRP 2 - Evidence of immigration status. I have only BRP. But do I have to tick for Evidence of immigration status as well ? I...

Re: **** COVID19 and UKVCAS Biometrics Appointments **** (ONLY discuss here)

Seems like due to fear of second wave UKVCAS has reconsidered its decision to stick with IDV app. We were planning to do this on 21 September 2020, but we are still working on final testing with UKVI. We’ll keep you posted about when this will happen, so keep checking this service status. wow! Than...

Hi master Cullinan I have a question on submission, if I pay & submit application on 20th Sep and say wait a week before booking appointment (wait to see just in case super-priority opens up) does that push back us in the queue ? simply put, if I pay & submit application on 20th Sep - what ...

Re: **** COVID19 and UKVCAS Biometrics Appointments **** (ONLY discuss here)

Note; the IDV app was only introduced to meet the pend-up demand caused by Covid-19. UKVI are currently assessing how the IDV app will be used moving forward. Currently only Student T4 applications will use the IDV app. If UKVCAS received your application on or after 5 September 2020, we are please...

Re: Employer letter question

Q2: In the letter they ONLY mentioned the leave in which I went out of UK. They didn’t mention 1 to 3 days leaves in which I was in UK only. Is that fine? Or they should mention ALL the leaves including when I was in UK ? Thanks a lot for quick response, and for the absence letter. Do they have to ...

Re: Tier 2 General to ILR application

Hi all , Can you please help me who to address the cover letter for my ILR application? Also, there was a post explaining step by step what happens once we pay and submit the application in current scenario (upload docs, app, biometrics etc). It was by a mod/senior member and was very very useful. I...

Re: Tier 2 General to ILR application

Sorry as I got conflicting answers, want to clarify: 1) Even though in my last T2G application as I mentioned my pre-marriage name-surname, I should still clarify in a cover letter for not doing it the time before ? 4) If I use flight ticket dates as date of leaving UK then there will be slight mism...

Re: Tier 2 General to ILR application

Hi Respected Gurus, Moderators, I have some questions if you can please answer: 1) When asked if you have other names. I changed my surname post marriage (10 years ago) so I answered Yes and gave my old surname. In my last application for T2G, I gave the same as previous name. However, when I renewe...
