Technical Questions

Hello, I have the following 2 technical questions: 1) I am on a spouse visa FLR-M from July 2022. When I went to my biometrics then, I presented my passport and BRP card (both were valid then). I received a new BRP card after the approval, and I renewed my passport. When I received the email to enro...

Re: Spouse visa to ILR

Thanks a lot for your prompt response

And as we are at it, also I confirm my understanding that Sposue Visa holders are not subject to the time outside UK limitation (180 days etc) as long as they have been with the sponsoring spouse the whole time. Is this correct.

Regards

Spouse visa to ILR

Hello, and thank you all for your support. I have been following this for a long time and always thought I understood this fact, and planned my timeline accordingly, the earliest date to apply for ILR is 28 days prior to completing 5-year anniversary from the date you entered the UK. I recently star...

Re: UKVI Account

I received the invitation today and was able to create an IDCheck - UKVI account, all good.

Does anyone know how to change the picture? I see that it has some shades on my head, and I would like to apply for driver's license.

I applied for my spouse FLR-M in a visa office (went to biometric appointment). I have been trying to login into my UKVI account but it is not recognizing my passport or BRP. Now I get it, it seems that I don't have a UKVI account because I did not use the app. My questions after unable to find an a...

Re: Spouse visa to ILR

Hi We read in the past the asking the APP is only for people who use regular services, not any priority or anything. We also read that UKVI officer will not see your application until you go for the biometric. So how can she manage the two issues above? She is planning to use the super priority (if ...

DVLA question

Hello all, I am trying to get my provisional DL, and I am asked to send my passport or BRP card. Does anyone know of other way to confirm identity? I am reluctant to send original documents as I travel frequently and no guarantee from DVLA on the returning timing of original documents. Does anyone k...

Dear all
Thanks for all your help and advice, I was able to pass the test on my second attempt. And yes, you can book multiple tests to accommodate availablity, but make sure you cancel 3 days before if you want a refund.

Cheers

Re: Life in UK Test

Thanks for all the replies. I can't remember if I shared my first experience here. I took the first test in an official centre. The people were professional but the experience I felt was humiliating, least to say. It started by taking my head temperature (fine, let it go). Then they won't touch anyt...

Life in UK Test

Hello I’m hearing that the test might change soon. My next step application is in two years but I want to get it done so I don’t have to worry about it. 1) Do you recommend doing it now and do we know if there will be a transition period? 2) Also what is a good study guide. I went to the official we...

BRP Collection

after a couple of failed delivery, TNT advised to pick it from the deport, which is a better choice for me. However, they advised to come tomorrow between 5 and 7 PM. Does anyone know if I can pick it up today instead? Will that be OK, off course they said NO on the phone the earliest is tomorrow. T...

Re: Extending While Traveling

I attended the bio this morning at 9, still waiting. SPV

Just wondering, do they actually call the bank or council to check on us? I know they have the right and I know I gave them consent, but do they actually call to verify?
