Re: Durable relationship / civil partnership problems

Hi all, My situation is turning out to be quite difficult, so I'd like to see if anyone has any advice. I've been digging through a lot of the advice given by the Home Office and I can't say I found anything useful. I'm hoping someone here might have more insight into this. My partner and I moved t...

How to or If I can request the passport for my sponsor

Hi everyone, I had a very quick question in regards to requesting the passport of my partner because he would be travelling soon to Germany. I'm not really sure if it will have any adverse impact on my application or anything. I won't be requesting my passport along with him , I also would like to s...

Re: Parents Visa refused twice !

The reasons for refusal of this FP clearly contravene EU law. i am not satisfied that it is a dependency of necessity rather than choice. I am therefore not satisfied that you are an extended family member in accordance with regulation 7 of the immigration (European Economic Area) Regulations 2006....

Re: EEA extended family route

We made the application few weeks ago. The appointment at the contact centre was 2 weeks ago. We have received an e-mail yesterday stating that decision has been made and documents are ready to be collected. As a pessimist I'm assuming this quick decision=refusal. Askmeplz82 what do you reckon? Hi,...

Re: Refund from home office before rejection or refusal

amaherchandani, Sorry just a quick question. You initially said that you were on Tier 4 Student visa and applied with your first application one day before your student visa expired. Your application got rejected as you didn't sign the bio page. At that stage when it got rejected first time, did yo...

Re: Refund from home office before rejection or refusal

They don't refund by mistake. If you see your payment back, it's usually a bad sign. You have to wait until you get the refusal letter. They explain why they refuse and what are your options if any. What type of application was it? Extended family? Cool, so the news is that the home office confirme...

Re: Refund from home office before rejection or refusal

You'll receive it soon. My application got rejected on 26/09/2019 and I got it on 09/10/2019. Fairly after 10 days they sent it. The second one I received was on 18/10/2019 - after 10 days. Btw go through this link - it shows that the home office uses AI to allocate the visa application. What nation...

Re: EEA Family Permit Refusal Article

Did you prove via certain documents that you are living at home which is owned by your brother? Also you could give bank statements of yours and brother showing the money received/Transferred in the bank statements. I hope you have birth certificate to prove he is your brother. I think the main thin...

Re: Passport returned with no family permit, no decision letter, no refusal stamp

We got an e-mail from UKVI saying they sent the details to the escalation team on 18/10 (which was the 16th working day after our first complaint). I have now found some citizens advice that we could ask our MP. Has anyone got any experience or heard of this strategy? I have a quite a weird situati...

Re: Refund from home office before rejection or refusal

The Home Office often uses this terminology "If you have some legitimate basis to stay in the UK..." . Actually, they serve this even to people held at airports and on the brink of deportation. They are not inviting you to apply and they are no suggesting you have a legitimate grounds to ...

Re: Refund from home office before rejection or refusal

But then doesn't it make sense for them to write me that I should leave country and at the moment I should be on a legitimate basis if I'm living with my partner ( Having evidence and they can come to my home as well).
Also legitimate word itself means legit? Right?

Re: Refund from home office before rejection or refusal

I did not had and have valid immigration status while my second application.
