I received a letter today from DOJ today saying my EU1 application has been approved. I was previously denied in 09/2007 due to not living in another member state. My original application was March 2007. They backdated the approval to 09/2007 (6 months from original application) and is good for 5 ye...

Yes, they will ask for the GNIB card at the airport when you return. You get the card only when you have registered at GNIB.

Atleast you can still get tickets in the evening now. Last itme I was there (NOV. 07) they stopped giving tickets ...

I just received a letter granting me Stamp 4 for 1 year as well. My EU1 was refused in September, due to not living in another member state. We were persistent, writing e-mails, letters, phone calls, etc. I usually questioned why some people were offered stamp 3, vs others a stamp 4 for 2 years. The...

Check with the marriage register office. There is a process of requesting a bypass of the 3 month waiting period. You would have to write a letter. i just can't remember where or to whom.

It was relatively painless. Just be well prepared. Does the denial letter instruct you to return to GNIB to renew her registration? Things to have: Proof of your work, bank statements, proof of health insurance, marriage certificate, EU1 denial letter, passports. Also go early. before 8:00 will insu...

I went this morning, 6/11, at 6:30am. Waited in line outside until 7:10. They let us in and had ticket in hand by 7:30am, was #12 in the Q. . Was out of the office by 8:30am.

I got a 1 year stamp 3, while waiting on Supreme Court ruling. I was denied EU1 previously.

I have the same problem, my wife has to get to work. I think this thread would be good to keep going anytime anyone goes, as a reference for other...

Garda immigration wait times.

Has anyone gone to Garda Immigration, Burgh Quay, Dublin, lately? What time did you show up? How long did you wait to get a ticket? How long until your number was called? I have to go soon, and I'm trying to find out a good time to show up.

Thanks in advance.

What would a ruling in the Kumar case mean for the rest of us in the same situation. If it goes in his favor, would we all have to re-apply for residence card? Or, would we have to get a lawyer a do what Kumar did? What if it goes against him? Would another case, perhaps a stronger one, be brought up?

Asked for P45

I was denied Residence Card, not residing in another member state. Went for new stamp 3, and was asked for my P45. I was working and had a PPS and everything, but only stamp 3. I am no longer working, since August. Has this happened to anyone else? I haven't returned to Garda with the P45 yet, my ol...
