Re: Tier-2 Dependent Visa questions

You simply need a selection of 3 to 6 documents in both names or addressed individually to the same address, any of the addresses you have resided at, for the last two years. Ok thanks, we have several documents for my previous address so we can submit those. I have copied the document checklist te...

Tier-2 Dependent Visa questions

I recently received ILR via Tier-2 General 5 year route. My wife is on Tier-2 Dependent visa which is expiring on 10th Jan 2020. I have submitted the online application today. As per old posts in this forum, when filling the form for my wife's extension, I filled the expiry date of my Visa as 10th J...

Re: ILR documents queries

I scanned and uploaded all my documents except my Passports and BRP. The scanner in my office was too slow and I was not able to get good scans from my phone at home. So I paid £45 for Sopra Steria document scanning service. Now during my appointment today they started scanning my current passport a...

Re: Tips for passing Life in the UK test

I studied from the one that has 48 tests. Good enough to pass.

Would be nice to read the book at least once if you have time.

Family visas/citizenship after my ILR

I will be applying for ILR this weekend (Tier 2 5 year route) - priority application. My wife has only completed 3 yrs in UK. So I know I need to extend her Tier-2 General Dependent Visa. Should I apply for Tier-2 General Dependent extension or is it called something else as I will no longer be on T...

Re: Set(o) application - document check list - Life in uk test

Yes, I had the same thing today. I uploaded it anyways.

After my Life in UK test they said they send the test result to HO electronically. So probably now HO does not require the proof from us.

Re: ILR documents queries

What does the PDF of ur application say? Ok great, PDF says Service Option: Priority Another question. I got my bank statement printed from the Lloyds Bank branch today. It has logo, address, name, account details, etc. But it is black and white, so I asked them to stamp it. It has a line which say...

ILR documents queries

I just now submitted ILR Set O (Tier 2 General - 5 year route) application online. I selected the Priority Service and paid 2908.20 GBP. I can’t imagine you’d need to put ur application on hold because of a BRP. Approval letter?
Thanks for your reply!

I have the approval email, no approval letter by post yet.

Apply ILR before receiving BRP

I am on Tier-2 General Visa for 5 years 10 months. My previous employer did not increase my salary to £35,800 so I switched to another company. The new employer applied for Change of Employer which was approved on 4th November. However, I have not yet received the BRP. Tomorrow I will be filling the...

Re: Start work before BRP arrives

Depends what is written in your approval email. Below is the email content: Your application under Tier 2 General of the Immigration Rules has been successful. You will receive your Biometric Residence Permit (BRP) by courier within 7 working days. It is your BRP, not this letter, that is the offic...

Start work before BRP arrives

I had applied for Tier-2 General Change of Employer Visa last month using Super Priority. But due to technical error at their end this was delayed. Finally I have received the approval email today! Now have to wait for the BRP to arrive. The employer's lawyer has said that I can start work now even ...

Re: UKVCAS Super Priority Service

That’s the reason behind HO getting away with it, its not 5 days standard reply in case of delay. They shouldn’t dish out super priority service If they don’t have enough staff to complete the requests. On their website it clearly says 5 days process £500 in which you get a reply in 5 working days ...

And now the lawyer is on leave for a week! :( As the lawyer has made my application I guess he will receive all the communication by post? Re: Notify old employer of name and address of new employer?

Never heard of this. If you already have a new Visa, HO will already have the details of your new employer from your CoS, so not sure why they would require previous employer to provide them the details.

Re: When to extend existing Tier 2

Why don't you extend for 3 years instead of 2 years? If you want to extend for 2 years I would suggest do it as late as possible. But the only problem with that is if unfortunately you make a mistake in the application you won't have time to reapply.
