Re: Urgent: ATAS cert unavailable and visa expiring 30 Jan (next Tuesday)

Basically all these options depend upon the university issuing a new CAS to apply for a visa extension. It is not possible to apply for the Graduate route with a visitor visa. HEIs usually don't require students retaking modules - or exams - to attend in person. They can do that remotely. Every univ...

Re: Switching Employer and Again paid IHS

Another issue is that I have closed my bank accounts in the Middle East and no longer have a valid resident permit or active bank account.. You might be eligible for a partial IHS refund, pro rata to the overlapping period. This is usually paid in the original form of payment. If this payment metho...

Re: Graduate Visa (Post study work - PSW visa)

Is it ok to request an escalation of the dependent visa application with the Home Office, citing the urgent need for the dependent to return to their job or internship in the home country? That would be an odd reason for this request, to say the least. UKVI would ask: why did the applicant apply fo...

My mother has an ordinary passport. Just to clarify that she is not Turkish.

Not sure whether the process would be different for someone in possession of this green passport.

Re: Standard visitor visa question - Have you ever worked for any of the following types of organisation?

In case this helps, I responded "No" to that question for my mothers' visitor visa application in 2022. It was approved, no questions asked. She is also a retired teacher who worked all the time in public schools which are institutions directly dependents either on national (Ministry of Ed...

Re: Does it reset ILR clock by changing to spouse visa (was tier 2 dependent)

She could have continued as a SWV (former Tier 2) dependent even after you were granted ILR, and be eligible for ILR now. She reset her clock when switched, now you need to wait for the qualifying period under the spouse route. For a reason, some people think that dependent spouses have to switch to...

Yes, this is what applies to you.

It can take some time for that to happen, nobody knows when the HO will inform you. In the meantime, you can stay in the UK looking for another sponsored job.

Assuming she is your dependent and holds a SW dependent visa she is free to do any job - except as a sportsperson or trainer.

You can give away your money to her or anyone else you want.

You can answer that question saying: I am still working in the specialist field I was endorsed for "Innovation & Policy", and submit the appropriate evidence. Dealing with another "commodity", different to biocidal products would not make any negative impact. For this route t...

That's not an issue at all.

The CoS was used to apply for the SWV, it's no longer valid and has no relevance for an ILR application.

Re: Visa transfer to new passport

Have you reported the old passport - and/or the visa - as lost to the authorities (local, of the country of issuance, etc)? You cannot "transfer" a visa from a passport to another. Normally you can travel with both passports and show to the US border officers the one with the stamped visa,...

Re: Visa Free Countries for UK ILR

You normally don't have any freedom to enter another country without a visa after getting ILR in the UK, you keep the same rights - and restrictions - than in your original nationality. There are just a few countries that allow UK ILR holders to enter without a visa - I only can recall Mexico, but t...

Re: British nationality application - Intentions to stay in the condition

As part of showing the intention of residence, this will be to provide evidence of your home and family in the UK. If I understand correctly, this means that you will be relocating to KSA alone and your spouse and child will stay in the UK? As commented above, there are two things you need to consi...

Re: Redundancy and 60 days curtailment period

1. The curtailment starts from the date given in the letter sent by the Home Office after job termination. It's unpredictable when this letter will be sent. 2. It depends on whether the employer has already informed the HO about stopping your sponsorship by the date of your return. 3. What backup ex...

Now they said they going to court. Is that correct? Not sure what you want to know here. As far as I understand the sponsor has the right to follow a due process to reinstate their licence - if that's the case, but the sponsored employees have no involvement in such processes. The email you receive...

Re: Documents needed to support my absences

The ILR form will ask to put absences (dates, destination, reasons, etc) manually, no need to submit any tickets to support this. The stamped pages on your passport will work.

From the dates you've given you're eligible to apply for ILR under the SW route - if the other requirements are also met.

(I had a year dependand visa, and later 3 years extention, so 4 years in total).
In this case - can I put less then 3 years?
You will have another 3 years extension as you previously had. You cannot adjust the duration at your convenience, hence it's a 3 years or less duration.
