Re: Applying for ILR while Plenty of Time on Current Visa

Kinda they would say something like "you can't apply for ILR when your current visa has more than a year left in it" or any other similar rule that I failed to uncover. So I thought to check here. Such rule doesn't exist. The applicant only need to meet all the requirement for the ILR rou...

Re: Can I switch from track 4 (peer review) to track 1(academic position) during the endorsment phase ?

Anyhow, by asking an immigration advisor he told me that after your endorsement got rejected, you need to apply for a new VISA (as you mentioned) within 28 day of this rejection, and you will not be considered overstayed. Probably, I am not sure, but I think there is a link now between this time wi...

Re: Changing of Job on Global Talent Visa

There is no issue with changing jobs under the GT route. Some change jobs shortly after being endorsed and the GTV granted, sometimes switching to work in roles completely different to their endorsed field, or being self-employed, and they don't face any problems in future applications. There are so...

Re: Skilled Woker Visa - Start of Employment Date

The decision of choosing employer 1 or 2 is down to you. A CoS is used to apply for a SW visa, once you use it is no longer valid. Previous CoS cancellations or withdrawals from past employers or prospective employers have no impact on ILR. There is also no requirement to be employed at the end or t...

Re: Can I switch from track 4 (peer review) to track 1(academic position) during the endorsment phase ?

You have to submit an application for either a visa extension or a new visa (GTV, SWV, etc) before the current one expires. An endorsement application is not a visa application, you're not protected under section 3C to extend your leave at this stage. Not sure who is your current sponsor/employer bu...

Re: Skilled Woker Visa - Start of Employment Date

If you want to start sooner to avoid any "gap" between jobs and the possible implication of this on a future ILR application, rest assured that these gaps have no impact on these applications.

I also checked online on right to work by my BRP and it still show validity till original end date.
This status online is not always updated immediately once the visa holder leaves their job or the employer reports termination to UKVI, it can remain without changes for weeks or even months.

I think you're not receiving any response because this question has been answered many times here. The search tool will show you similar posts. Paragraph S9.8 on the sponsor's guidance mentions: S9.8. When you assign a CoS for an extension of permission to stay application, the start date on the CoS...

Re: Apply schengen visa with BRP

All BRPs will be phased out on 31/12/2024. The valid until is the expiry date on the BRP, as this is the document used by someone residing in the UK with a visa to re-enter the country - when travelling abroad. More instructions on how the new electronic system will operate should be available soon,...

The rule says: The applicant must have earned money in the UK during their last period of permission in the field in which they were previously endorsed"!
You can upload a payslip and the corresponding bank statement to demonstrate this. A letter from the employer is not required.

You only can work for your current employer who is sponsoring the SW visa. If you resign you need to wait until the new SW dependant visa is approved to work elsewhere. You cannot work for another employer while this application is pending. Also note that with this change from SW main applicant to S...

Re: Entry Clearance for six months and 14 days only - Permanent Lecturer position in the UK

It can take several months to receive a respond from an administrative review. The Home Office call centre will not fix this issue, and likely you will receive a poor advice from them. You don't need to wait for the visa to expire to apply for an extension, also no need to leave the UK. You can appl...

Evidence of immigration status is the BRP!

No issues with mentioning BRP as evidence more than once in the application. One scanned copy uploaded as evidence is enough to verify all the fields.

Re: Start dates for a newcomer

They don't need to modify anything on the CoS, you already used it (no longer valid) and a visa was granted. You can start working after the start date on the CoS, that's acceptable within the rules. The start date is agreed between you and the employer. If it's delayed more than 28 days they need t...

It's rarely a good idea to assume things related to immigration, or in this case GT endorsements. Again, with a GT visa you are free to work for any employer under the current circumstan...
