Re: Switch Student Visa to Work Visa Within UK

I understand that you can apply for the SW route up to three months before your course completion, or after you have completed 12 months of study if you are doing a PhD. Also you will need to provide an expected course completion letter from the University as part of your application when applying t...

Re: Tier 2 Visa Employment Approached by New Employer - How do I switch?

There is no penalty for changing employer/sponsor. You can switch employers at any time, you only need to complete the same process as the first time: getting a CoS, to pay the fees, IHS, send the application, etc., just be sure to submit your application before your current leave expires. You can d...

Re: Switch to new employer on Skilled Worker visa

They say that you should only resign after getting an answer on new application. But how does that work? Who does say that? You can resign from your current job at any time you want to. The usual recommendation is waiting for the approval email from the HO, but it is not a must follow rule. When yo...

Re: Switching from Tier 4 to tier 2

In this case, can I curtail my current Tier 4 visa and go back to my country and apply for Tier 2 with the current company? Will self-curtailment cause any repercussions to my future applications to UKVI? The only way to curtail your visa is through your sponsor (university) who will notify HO and ...

Re: what implication to my visa with 3 months notice from the employer

I remember you applied for a Skilled Work visa in late April, like two months ago, and you were made redundant already? The notice period is irrelevant in terms of curtailment letter. Nobody can say when someone will receive a curtailment letter after employer notifies HO, this time is compl...

Re: Overstay query

The immigration rules on gov.uk seem to indicate that an overstay of <30 days is not grounds for refusal for a student visa, but it would be helpful to hear any first- or second-hand experience that anyone has. Probably it will be hard to find someone with a similar experience in this forum. I woul...

Re: Proof of funds to support Tier 4 dependents

They can conduct any sort of verification they consider relevant to the application. This can include that the funds exist, and possibly that the funds holder is allowed to hold funds in that country, etc. It doesn't matter which country you have the money as long as the financial institution compli...

Re: Traveling outside UK after Skilled Worker Visa is initiated

I think you asked this question before. If you travel abroad after leaving your current job, most likely you will be denied re-entry to the UK. Your employer will notify HO within 10 days after your last day at work.

The valid date of your current BRP is irrelevant.

Re: Traveling abroad after submitting a notice period with a new COS

I don't see any implications on this. You just need to let the new company know that you are not accepting their offer and they will cancel the CoS. It doesn't have any impact on immigration status. And you can keep working for the current employer, on the understanding that they have not yet report...

No, when applying within the UK no stamp or vignette will be placed in your passport.

A PhD (or Master or Bachelors) certificate means the diploma, the one we receive at the graduation ceremony. Usually those frames can be easily opened to scan or photocopy the diploma... or like most people, we usually scan and save it in a file before mounting it. The academic transcript is a diffe...

Hi all, I'm currently sponsored on a Tier 2 visa at my company and live in the UK. I've recently signed an offer of employment and I have a few questions. 1. My dependents visa are valid until 01-Mar-2022. Do they need to apply again or only myself because their visa will still be valid until the e...

Re: Skilled Worker Visa Switching & Resigning Question

However, I know the current advice is to stay put until the new visa is in hand prior to resigning. You don't need to wait to have your new visa (BRP card) in hand to resign. Once you receive an email confirming that your application has been successful, you can immediately hand over your resignati...

Re: BRP and vignette work right error on Tier 4 dependent

You all can try asking or contacting other international students in your same course or University to see if they have the same remarks. Given that the issue is happening very often, it could not be an error but a deliberate act as someone stated, perhaps due to the current circumstances? I remembe...

Re: Fiancee visa but have been arrested before.

Under certain circumstances, especially when the person was juvenile, there are options to get that deleted. It won't be part of any record and nobody will know about it until YOU tell them. Got it, thanks! The OP has this option available then, as per his arrest occurred when he was 17 years old. ...

Just being genuinely curious.

Can someone request for a police record (including arrest or not) to be deleted in the UK? Is such a thing possible?

1. Yes, you will be legal during the change of job.

2. It depends on when you receive a curtailment letter from the HO. It can take weeks or months, nobody is able to say an exact time for this.

Re: Tier2General - Change of Sponsor : Joining date after receiving new BRP

This is what sections 3.6 and 3.7 of the Sponsor Guidance say : S3.6 The start date you give on the CoS must be the date the worker is expected to start working for you at the time the CoS is assigned. You must let us know via the sponsorship management system (SMS) if this changes. S3.7 If, after t...

Re: Tier2General - Change of Sponsor : Joining date after receiving new BRP

1) If you already received a BRP for your new job, you should give your notice now in order to clear this by the start date in May. 2) You can start working for your new employer from 03/05 as per your CoS. If you want to start in a later date, you need to discuss this with your new employer. That c...

The IHS refund will go to the original payment method.

If you no longer have access to this account, I would contact the IHS refunds department (email above) to let them know about this situation. They should be able to advise.

If you have not received your BRP within 10 days after you've got your decision letter, you can contact TNT to know its status.

There is a link for this: https://www.gov.uk/biometric-residence- ... ot-arrived

However, I would expect some delays due to the current lockdown situation.

I think the best advice would be given by the placement/careers service or international student's department at your university.

They should be able to answer all the questions you have. Universities have their own provisions for students in your same situation.
